Enjoyable experience
Quiet, no homes on course, friendly staff and great value. Will be back.
Amazing course and friendly staff
First time playing this course and I absolutely love it. Really fun and challenging golf course. Definitely will play here again. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Nice course, not great staff
I have played Woodlands a number of times over the years. The course was in good shape this weekend and played well. Greens rolled nicely, bunkers (the few there are) were in decent shape, no complaints at all. For the money, it’s a great course and will definitely play again. My issue was the staff. When we checked in, the clubhouse staff just seemed to have woken up on the wrong side of the bed. Once we started playing, we teed off at 7:50 with a twosome in front of us that teed off at 7:30. By the time we got to the fourth hole, a Marshall came (younger guy) and told us we had to pick up the pace. Mind you, we had nobody pressing us. The group that teed off after us was still a hole behind. When I asked him about pace of play he just told us the pace of play is set by the people in front of us. Again, that was a twosome in front of our foursome. We were approached by another Marshall on the 9th hole who told us again we had to pick up the pace. We were right at 2 hours and 3 minutes as we approached the ninth green. He said the owner was there and said even though a 9 hole pace is 2 hours, the owner wants us to play up to speed with the group in front of us, which again was a twosome. This Marshall was at least a bit more understanding but by now we were frustrated. Nobody was behind us at this point, we were not holding anybody up, and we just wanted to enjoy our round. Nothing is worse than feeling rushed on a course. After the 10th hole, the Marshall came back and told us about the twosome in front of us playing quickly and said we’re on pace and he may hover a bit but told us to enjoy our round. This Marshall was super nice and understanding but it didn’t make up for the fact that we had been rushed since the 4th hole for zero reason all because “the owner” was there that day. Again, we’ve played here numerous times and have never had any issues. We were not holding up the pace of play and never had anybody waiting on us to make a shot or leave a green. If this is how they’re going to treat the players, I may rethink making this course my usual visit.
Water on the Course
The course was great, great layout and conditions. My only complaint is that there are no water jugs or cart people You can buy water or drinks from
GREAT value for money
First time playing this course. Very impressed. Great value for money. Beautiful course and fun to play. Short but challenging, lots of angulation.
Fun times
Good day, some greens were a little rough and the Marshall needs to do something about slow play.
Nice course
My first time playing this course and you really need to play with someone that knows it. Very tight fairways and hidden water. Loved the course and it was in great shape.
Hidden Gem of a Course
Love this course. It's well maintained and interesting.
Enjoyable
Slow round for typical Saturday, but not bad. Course has lots of nuisances that make shots more challenging… I’m sure another round or two would help a lot.
All staff extremely professional and courteous!
Fun challenge
I had a great day. Played with another single. Fast round. Fella in the pro shop was very friendly and gave some good course tips. No driver needed on the first two holes. Lots of elevation change. Play to the center of greens.
Course is coming along
This is it laid out with lots of hills to contend with on almost every hole. The greens are looking better while some fairways and tee boxes could use some improvements.
