Balmoral Woods Country Club

Balmoral is a tremendous course to play. Very challenging greens. The greens were a bit slow perhaps due to the hot weather and lack of rain which could have prevented the crew from cutting them closer. Some fairways are difficult to hit because of slope and trees. With all that said, it is a beautiful layout and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a fun challenge. Always look to play it at least once a year.

This course is always a challenge. Weather conditions plays a factor in choosing your clubs for every shot. The greens were in great shape, and the fairways were well manicured.

My only complaint about the course was that the rough was too high. It took forever to find a golf ball just off the fairway. We were driving in circles looking for balls and finally someone would find it. You walk away to grab a club and if you didn't throw your hat in the spot it was tough to locate again. Otherwise I really like this course. Lay out is fun. Lot of dog legs and some difficult elevation changes. Way more par 5 holes than the average course. 4 par 5's on the front 9. Staff is very friendly. Average cost of a round is great. Halfway house is passed multiple times which is nice. Prices for food and drink are good value. Would definitely recommend playing.

I like this course (good layout) but I won’t play it again. It was in rough shape: long grass, poor greens, and chewed up tee boxes. But that’s not the worst. Despite calls to the clubhouse, they allowed a group of six “bros” to play together, which resulted in a big gap and very slow play.

This course is in the best shape it has been in years

Course is set up nice but upkeep seems to be lacking. Lost balls where they shouldn’t be lost. Just a little work and should be fine..

We did not know the course layout. You do not come back to the clubhouse till the end of the round and the halfway house was not open yet. So get plenty of beer at the start .

Course received a lot of rain in the week befor my round which restricted maintenance vehicles on the course and mowing the rough. However the cart paths and greens need help in areas. The layout does not return to the clubhouse and I doing so allowed for the best golf course to be created: holes 7 through 13 occupy the best land on the property and are very good.

Grass 7 inches high. If you missed the fairway at all you lose your bail. Lawn maintenance crew were trying to cut but it was so high they literally had to make 3 passes. Lawn maintenance staff was also extremely rude and ran over out balls.

Far too many unnecessary rules and the course was in rough shape...

NO carts in the parking lot!..

NO driving the carts off the cart path (even though it was bone dry!)...

NO singles skipping ahead of the 4 foursomes that just started (even though the course is EMPTY in front of them)...

The rough was about 4-5 in. or longer everywhere, except the fairways and greens, with no fringe cut around the fairways, making it very easy to lose stray balls...

The greens were in pretty rough shape in spots...

Weeds everywhere...

This place is too hit of miss. I think I will be skipping it, in the future.

What happen to the four different rates on Weekends.? WOW 70$ before noon and 60$ after noon for the rest of the day hopefully cart paths were addressed in the off season for those prices jeez...
