Good for 9
The course was well maintained and for the price it is a good course for 9 holes to play 18 you just run back the same 9 we booked a tee time for 1030 but ended up waiting in line for about an hour before teeing off each hole after that we typically had to wait 5-10 minutes for people to clear the fairway lastly make sure to bring food with you the clubhouse only offers things like chips and slim Jim’s
Cheap to play
Cheap to play but keep in mind that the teetimes are not true teetimes they do first come first serve all the time and the past three weekends I have went out there It has taken 30+ minutes to tee off on the first hole not to mention slow rate of play after we start
Best value for your money.
I’ve played at Oxbow at least 20 times. I’ve played some courses that are twice as expensive and half as nice. The staff is usually pretty happy to see you, unlike some courses, and the greens are easily the nicest in Columbus. The only thing I wish was different is the pace of play. There have been many times when I get stuck behind two guys who are taking 10-15 minutes per hole, and I wish the marshals would do a better job at letting singles through. The only time I’ve seen a marshal tell a group to let a single through is when I was being told to let them through.
Best in town for the price
9 hole course so weekends get backed up but if you play Monday-Thursday you can’t beat oxbow. The greens and fairways are some of the best in town
If you’ve never played this course, you’re missing out.
Even though it’s just a 9 hole course, 18 holes for around 20 bucks with greens this nice is an absolute steal. The fairways are just as nice and you won’t really have to worry about losing many golf balls cause of how open it is. Not incredibly challenging for beginners/average golfers but still tests your skills at times. Overall this course is an absolute blast to play at, super friendly staff, snacks and drinks not overpriced, and the course is in phenomenal condition.
Heads up for solo golfers
Heads-Up for Solo Golfers: There seems to be a disconnect between the booking options on GolfNow and the on-site policy. I booked as a solo player but was required to join a group upon check-in.
The group was fantastic and I enjoyed the company, but they were playing a best-ball scramble. For a beginner like me trying to establish a handicap, this meant I couldn't play my own ball or keep an accurate score. It was a fun round, but it didn't meet my objective of gauging my personal performance. I would recommend the course clarify its singles policy on third-party booking sites.
Great Course & Amazing Staff!
First time playing this course. I had so much fun the first day came back the next day and played the 9 holes 3 times.
