Waited forever
The course is great but I was quickly reminded of why I don't play there often. We had an 8:30 tee time and didn't tee off until 9:15 because we were waiting at the first tee. Then on the second 9 we had to wait another 30+ minutes. There has to be a better way!
Not bad for the money
The course is a pretty typical muni course. Fairly open, not a lot of water or sand traps. All in all, not a bad way to spend a few hours outdoors. Definitely worth the money.
Needs organization
We played for the first time at oxbow and booked a tee time for 18 holes at 830am through the app. I called and confirmed with Nicki that this was a legit booking. We arrived at 8am because we were weary of the tee time. There were so many walk ins with no booked appointments that the line at hole one was wrapped around to the range line. (15 to 20 carts atleast) there should be a tee time honored and a wait line for "walkins" with some sort of organization. Start groups on alternate holes or some sort of remedy. We finally teed off at 1020am. On hole 5. We only played 9 holes due to being so backed up at each hole. We finally called it quits about 2pm. I cant say all negative things. The corse was in good shape for a public corse, brand new nice golfcarts, and Nicki did try to accommodate but we understood her hands were tied as far as what they were allowed to do since it is owned by the city. I hope this message reaches the eyes of some higher ups and they start to implement some organization. Nicki seemed to be knowledgeable in how higher end golf courses are ran. We hope to visit again when some things get worked out.
Friendly fun course
Played 18 holes today the courses in fairly good condition except the greens are not very good right now there were some bare spots and it looks like they’ve been attempting to do some repairs on them, but overall the rest of the courses in good shape. The pace of play was slow with no marshal to speed things along
Sunday
Excellent range and putting green, played as a single and groups in front were out of sight by 3rd hole. Helpful staff, great value
Tee times don’t mean anything
The course does not use teetimes and it’s first come first serve. This means the starting Teebox will have a line of 10 to 15 cards waiting to play in the morning.
Fun course not too difficult
Had a great time here, I'm from Florida and we're spoiled with lots of beautiful courses. Oxbow did not dissapoint! Great layout, moderately challenging, nice staff, water jugs on the course too. Not alot of water and wide fairways. Greens need love but it's middle of summer so gotta be realistic. Would definitely play again.
Great 9 hole course.
Oxbow is a great place for beginners and seasoned pros alike. Quick 9 holes, as long as the old walkers aren’t playing in front of you.
Love the course
Nine hole course. Excellent condition. Granddaughter had a great time. Staff friendly greens fairways was an excellent condition. Recommend to play if you’re in the area. Thank you.
Great Course
I'm from Tennessee and every time I come to see my family I love this course. This course is a 9 out of 10 great play.
