Good day golfing with my wife and paired with someone else. We had a good day and the greens were in good shape. Play was a little slow but it was a nice day weather wise. The course was wet from all the rain we've had.
Winter Play
Played Bull Creek East for the first time on February 3rd; temp at start was ~ 47F. The conditions were “winter conditions”. What I mean by this is the Bermuda roughs we’re dormant and the areas around the greens had little grass with a bit of bare dirt. There were wet areas with CPO holes mostly on the back nine. This is typical for central GA & AL in the winter; so, it wasn’t unexpected.
All in all it was a pleasant day to play golf except for the a-hole on # 12, but I’ll just ignore him.
Great staff, good pace of play, nice conditions, good value and good challenging design, but not too difficult.
I’ll probably come back in the spring or fall to play again to see what the conditions will be like then
Cost
Booked hot deal on the app but opted to pay at the course and received an email confirming what I owed at the course. Upon arrival the staff charged full price and told me I had to pay on the app to get the hot deal price. I was in town to play with my son so I just payed and didn’t argue. I showed the staff my email from golf now and they said they would look into it after I left. Never had that happen before. I always opt to pay at the course. Lesson learned. Course is awesome. Bring your A game if you play the West course. Great risk reward challenge.
Pairings
Forced to play with three strangers on a Monday afternoon, not my idea of a relaxing round.
Revised Perception
Third week playing this course. Pleasantly surprised at condition. Very neat, clean grounds, orderly parking. Good practice areas, putting, chipping, range. However, terrible practice balks. Seems to be a mixed lot of random balls in varying condition. All else about course was very good. Excellent deals online.
Got Bullied!
First time playing Bull Creek W. Played old original course decades ago. Difficult track. Early in season so grass needs a little more time to grow. Like most courses during Pandemic, bring water, drinks, and food, as none available. Very nice helpful people in pro shop area. Got individual carts. Bring your A game.
