There on top of it in the wrong ways
Pull into the parking lot and a guy is following me in a cart. Ok I soon realize this is a worker providing a service. I decline. I get into the pro shop, give the name and time and they need to see my booking confirmation? Ok, I already paid, how does my last name and time not suffice? Ok I get understand they must be on top of it here… nope! Not the case. Tee’d off at 10:56, off the tee at 11:10… ok 15 minutes late. Then zero ranger presence the whole round. Group in front of us weren’t golfing, they were drinking, playing a scramble, absolutely tearing up the greens and tee boxes with the amount of hits they’re taking not to mention 5 hour round. Listen, I’m not amazing (82) and don’t judge having a good time on the course but at least keep pace of play… for how on lock it seemed they had it from pulling into the parking lot I would have expected the same on the course. Not to mention it’s a cash grab, no water on course to refill water bottles, etc. I liked the course, easy and forgiving but I will NEVER be back haha.
Fun course, straightforward with challenging greens
This course is always a great time and challenges me. I will say some times on a busy day it can be quite frustrating waiting and being waited on every tee shot, and I hope they repair some of the tee boxes especially on all of the par 3’s they are battered.
Overall, I would play this course again.
If it’s not too far out for you, Go.
Well kept course with some tight alleys, challenging greens and enough hazards to test your game without taking the fun out.
Green gardens blue course
I love this course the cart girls are super friendly and make great drinks the course is fantastic for novice to advanced players and well maintained. Lauren is our favorite cart girl she is super nice and makes sure she is always coming around with cold beverages
Almost a Great Course
One of my favorite courses in the area, but it just misses being a great course. Greens were in great condition but fairways were dry and very firm. Updated GPS in carts is great as a backup to my Arccos account. Biggest issue with GG is there isn’t a ball washer to be had on the course. Pace of play is generally very good and if you have time stop in the clubhouse for lunch. GG is generally my go to course as it’s really good, but just misses being great.
Better than average course in my area. Will recommend to others
The course is a good buy for the money. The fairways could use a bit more irrigation. The clubs were bouncing off at extremely dry spots. Fairly well maintained. It is a bit too far for me, otherwise I would play here more often.
GREEN GARDEN BLUE COURSE
Played the blue course at green garden today, and it is ready for summer. Course conditions were excellent and the greens were pristine. We were fixing any ball marks we saw all day long, and there weren't many, but it drives me crazy when I see people not repairing ball marks on the greens. I can't control what others do, but me and my group have a "mine plus at least 2 more rule" when it comes to repairing ball marks.. I think it would make all of our lives on the course more enjoyable if everyone did. We owe it to ourselves and all other golfers who can physically repair ball marks to do this. Thoroughly enjoyed Green Garden. It's one of my favorite golf courses in Chicagoland. Highly recommended!!!
Avoid this entire establishment at all cost. They book their Tee times 6 minutes apart and jam as many people as possible onto the course. I played 5 holes in an hour and half and had 5 groups either playing or waiting to play the #6 Par 5. If I had played the entire round it would have taken over 6 hours
Long open straight forgiving fairways. Great for all golfers. Nice restaurant as well
Greens are amazing, nice and open course good for all skill levels. Tricky greens . Must try course
