Almost a Great Course
One of my favorite courses in the area, but it just misses being a great course. Greens were in great condition but fairways were dry and very firm. Updated GPS in carts is great as a backup to my Arccos account. Biggest issue with GG is there isn’t a ball washer to be had on the course. Pace of play is generally very good and if you have time stop in the clubhouse for lunch. GG is generally my go to course as it’s really good, but just misses being great.
Better than average course in my area. Will recommend to others
The course is a good buy for the money. The fairways could use a bit more irrigation. The clubs were bouncing off at extremely dry spots. Fairly well maintained. It is a bit too far for me, otherwise I would play here more often.
GREEN GARDEN BLUE COURSE
Played the blue course at green garden today, and it is ready for summer. Course conditions were excellent and the greens were pristine. We were fixing any ball marks we saw all day long, and there weren't many, but it drives me crazy when I see people not repairing ball marks on the greens. I can't control what others do, but me and my group have a "mine plus at least 2 more rule" when it comes to repairing ball marks.. I think it would make all of our lives on the course more enjoyable if everyone did. We owe it to ourselves and all other golfers who can physically repair ball marks to do this. Thoroughly enjoyed Green Garden. It's one of my favorite golf courses in Chicagoland. Highly recommended!!!
Avoid this entire establishment at all cost. They book their Tee times 6 minutes apart and jam as many people as possible onto the course. I played 5 holes in an hour and half and had 5 groups either playing or waiting to play the #6 Par 5. If I had played the entire round it would have taken over 6 hours
Long open straight forgiving fairways. Great for all golfers. Nice restaurant as well
Greens are amazing, nice and open course good for all skill levels. Tricky greens . Must try course
Great staff
It was my first time playing Green Garden on a very windy day. The staff were great at this course. The fairways were wide, which makes it good for intermediate golfers.
Course conditions
Cart paths only. Manager did not disclose that fairways and roughs were flooded.
Aerating was being done on greens and tees. Workers were pumping out traps and other areas.
Course should have been closed.
