Course management poor at all courses they manage
I understand that the same company owns/manages Hughes Creek, Mill Creek, Tanna Farms and Settlers Hill. The condition of Hughes Creek and Mill Creek is shoddy. But my biggest complaint is that there's NO WATER containers anywhere on these courses for golfers. This summer has been brutally hot this year and there's no excuse for not providing water. Don't make me come into your poorly supplied clubhouse to buy a $2 bottle of water! I won't play any of these courses again.
Rude people
Unfortunately the course has got a lot of homes on it and there's a lot of people that live there that are using the course for walking and running and they're not supposed to be on it. They interfere with the players. in the way of the players and they have to be asked to move. That happened to me today. I ask a girl to move out of my way who was walking on the course. She got very upset and started swearing at me. I can't imagine why I would ever go back. The management of the course needs to get this under control. A person that goes out to play golf is paying for it and it's doing it for relaxation not aggravation
Punitive Golf Course
There are some open holes, but most are surrounded by thick, reedy marshland. I hit 10 fairways and still didn't have fun. When you hit your approach 5 yards long and lose your ball, it just isn't fun. Also: NO amenities. NO water, Range CLOSED, 19th Hole CLOSED, NO marshal to control the fivesomes and the middle schoolers.
Good, but could be WAY better
Course has some really nice holes and has some holes that need a lot of love. Some tee boxes are great, some are awful. Mowers on 2 different occasions didn’t yield to our shots or stopped right behind us and never put the mowers In idle, just left them running full bore. Also not sure why they’re mowing at 1pm when the sun rises close to 5am. Decent course for the money but again, could be WAY better.
Skip It
No water anywhere on the course, despite temps in high 90’s. Course poorly maintained; narrow fairways. Skip it unless you’re local and desperate.
Mill Creek Golf Course
Played Mill Creek Golf Course Saturday 6/11/22.Driving range was closed but after first 9 holes, it had opened up. Keep in ,mind that this is a rather tight course so bring a few extra balls. The rough is challenging so fairway play is definitely where you want to be.
Short and Wet but Challenging Course
I haven't played Mill Creek in a few years. This course is fairly short but almost every hole gives you challenging shots. There's water everywhere and some thick bogs/grass patches. This course requires accuracy and not just gripping and ripping it. My biggest complaint about the course is it's drainage. The course was very wet and soggy and, as result the ball had no roll. The day before we got a fair amount of rain but the course should have handled it better. There was a lot of "plop, plop, plop" when walking in the fairways. Also, they really don't have a clubhouse/19th hole, which is disappointing. They offer beverages and have some tables scattered about but nothing worth staying after the round.
Love Mill Creek
Great Layout love this course
Greens and Fairways looked and felt like they hadn't been cut in days. a little bumpy on the greens May 30 2022
Glad it’s back!
Love Mill Creek’s design. Tees were a bit chewed up (and they are rarely flat), and some greens had significant dead patches. Otherwise course is in good shape.
Running it to the dumps!
Great lay-out, regardless of houses along almost every hole. Moderate to high difficulty level for average golfer. This course reopened after a lengthy shut-down due to drainage problems. The greens are in bad shape... bald spots abound. Overall condition of the fairways is poor - to be generous. Rough areas are miserable. Despite the good weather, the course was sparse. This course is managed by a contractor called "Golf Visions" Their vision seems to be focused on just the $ sign. Not a good company if you expect well-maintained courses
Great course for the price.
Green were a little slower and rough a little longer, but I understand that after being closed for 3 years they have to let it grow a bit. I used to play here a lot and think the course is in a very good shape.
Overpriced
The course itself is a decent course. What gets you is all of the dandelions on the course, indicating a lack of proper maintenance. We went on a Sunday morning and there was no beverage cart on the course and there was nowhere to buy cocktails in the clubhouse. Add that to the relatively high price tag and it adds up to someplace I don't plan on returning to.
