Skip It
No water anywhere on the course, despite temps in high 90’s. Course poorly maintained; narrow fairways. Skip it unless you’re local and desperate.
Mill Creek Golf Course
Played Mill Creek Golf Course Saturday 6/11/22.Driving range was closed but after first 9 holes, it had opened up. Keep in ,mind that this is a rather tight course so bring a few extra balls. The rough is challenging so fairway play is definitely where you want to be.
Short and Wet but Challenging Course
I haven't played Mill Creek in a few years. This course is fairly short but almost every hole gives you challenging shots. There's water everywhere and some thick bogs/grass patches. This course requires accuracy and not just gripping and ripping it. My biggest complaint about the course is it's drainage. The course was very wet and soggy and, as result the ball had no roll. The day before we got a fair amount of rain but the course should have handled it better. There was a lot of "plop, plop, plop" when walking in the fairways. Also, they really don't have a clubhouse/19th hole, which is disappointing. They offer beverages and have some tables scattered about but nothing worth staying after the round.
Love Mill Creek
Great Layout love this course
Greens and Fairways looked and felt like they hadn't been cut in days. a little bumpy on the greens May 30 2022
Glad it’s back!
Love Mill Creek’s design. Tees were a bit chewed up (and they are rarely flat), and some greens had significant dead patches. Otherwise course is in good shape.
Running it to the dumps!
Great lay-out, regardless of houses along almost every hole. Moderate to high difficulty level for average golfer. This course reopened after a lengthy shut-down due to drainage problems. The greens are in bad shape... bald spots abound. Overall condition of the fairways is poor - to be generous. Rough areas are miserable. Despite the good weather, the course was sparse. This course is managed by a contractor called "Golf Visions" Their vision seems to be focused on just the $ sign. Not a good company if you expect well-maintained courses
Great course for the price.
Green were a little slower and rough a little longer, but I understand that after being closed for 3 years they have to let it grow a bit. I used to play here a lot and think the course is in a very good shape.
Overpriced
The course itself is a decent course. What gets you is all of the dandelions on the course, indicating a lack of proper maintenance. We went on a Sunday morning and there was no beverage cart on the course and there was nowhere to buy cocktails in the clubhouse. Add that to the relatively high price tag and it adds up to someplace I don't plan on returning to.
Price vs Course
This course has the potential to be good, but the amenities are non existent, the course is very unmaintained and it did. It make for a pleasant round. The rough was so bad you would lose balls. Not having a bar or any sort of food is also a killer for 18. What they charge is really not worth the round of golf. I hope they can clean it up.
Was expecting more for Geneva
We were honestly expecting more for a course in Geneva, so maybe this is a situation of expectations verses reality. What also didn't help that is it was supposed to be mid-70s and cloudy, but it turned out to be upper 80s and muggy, with a feels like in the mid-90s. That had nothing to do with the course, but made the fact we were backed up on every hole waiting for the group ahead of us that much worse, as there isn't much shade. Narrow fairways, as this course was crammed into a residential area, which also means there's random ponds, dry beds, drainage pipes, and other hazards which are less by design and more something the hole had to be build around. Many hazards are blind, so lost balls and penalty strokes were plenty. Greens were in rough shape. Overall, we don't plan to go back to this one.
Very disappointing post closure
Course has been closed for several years, allegedly to bring it back to its condition of its glory days of 20 years or so ago, and also to find a better management company. I was excited to see what changes were in store, and I was extremely disappointed to find it actually in worse condition than ever. Dandelions everywhere in the rough. Weeds in the sand traps. Clubhouse amenities extremely sparse to non existent. Money better spent at any of the other local courses.
Mill Creek
They forgot to spray for dandelions. More yardage markers are needed. Greens were in good shape, fairways and tees also. As of early May 13, there was no beer and no hotdogs. Refreshments at the turn are chips candybars and Gatorade. No cart girl either. Was hoping for better, but not bad for being shutdown for a few years. I'll play there again.
Terrible
Don’t waste your money. Nothing is cut and dandelions cover the entire course. Good luck finding your ball if you go in the rough. Don’t know why they rushed it open
Terrible Experience
DO NOT play this course. The course is in terrible condition and the staff are very unfriendly. You’d think after several years of being closed they’d turn it around. Guess not. Save your money or play somewhere else.
