City Club Marietta

Course is in amazing shape. I used to play here non stop 3-4 years ago before the greens were replaced. Doesn’t even compare to the condition now. MUST PLAY!

Loved it. The greens were large and undulating. It made me really have to consider my approach shots into the green. Fairways are pretty wide open and easy to stay in the middle of it.

I really enjoyed this course. The layout was challenging and I think I used every club in my bag. The greens were very fast and it took me a few holes to get the pace. They were very smooth and rolled true. The only thing that detracted from being great was mowing. The practice range tee, the tees on course and the fairways were all shaggy and needed to be cut. The staff was very friendly and the the grill by the 9th green was a hit with our group.

Definitely will be back

The downpour on the 2nd and 3rd holes cleared out a few foursomes ahead of us so the speed of play was very good, finishing in 4 1/4 hours.

We arrived an hour early to hit the driving range...which was closed because the cage on their ball retrieving tractor was broken. It opened back up 5 minutes before our tee time. We play only occasionally so a warm up is essential. To be honest, I would not have booked this tee time if I knew the driving range would not be open. Nice enough course layout in decent condition, but slightly overpriced for the quality. Normally $53, they raised it to $63 for Memorial Day Weekend and also added a surprise $5 Convenience Fee - what the heck is that?

$55 dollars to play a $20 tops course, they redid the greens a couple years back and must’ve laid concrete instead of grass. I’ve played it maybe 7 times with each time being worse than the last (maintenance, customer service, no marshals for pace of play, etc)… I have been praying for this course to come under new management due to not many public courses available near Marietta Square but I’d rather drive 2 hours than to EVER play this course again at this point. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY until new management that understands the value of the course takes over because it really is an awesome layout just beyond poorly managed!

I love this course, but the starters are more about themselves than their customers. The course is in great shape, except the greens are set up for the pros, not the general public. I believe I was the third group off in the morning. The first group off was slow. There was no marshal to help speed them up so our round was an hour longer than it should have been.

Have not played there in years until Friday and the greens are in good shape and fast. That was the shining star but the rest of the course is need of serious maintenence. Looks green but the fairways are hard as a rock... not firm but hard. Needs a good aeration and needs it badly. Having tight lies is fine but when irons and wedges bounce into the ball it isn't much fun. I get its a budget thing for them but paying +$55 there are better options.

Played on a Friday afternoon and took over 4 hours. Marshall made one pass, clearly doing nothing about pace of play. People behind us constantly playing on our heels, hitting our cart TWICE despite the people in front of us just exciting the green or being on next tee box. No course management from staff at all.

We almost left after 11 for fear of our own safety. Regret not doing so

Overall a fun course to play. Each hole different from the other.

One of my favorite courses for the money. Pretty well kept, and no complaints really other than the pace of play. It seemed sporadic and super slow. All my partners left after the front 9 and each hole was a 15-20 minute wait on the back 9. By hole 13, we just decided to go home instead.

Course was beautiful. Very scenic. Greens were in great shape w nice pace. Course is extremely hilly. Never a level lie. Plays longer than the card reads. It was very challenging. I’ll def play again
