City Club Marietta

I never post reviews but this course gets a bad rap, so I felt like I needed to say something. I’ve always heard that this course was in rough shape. But I recently moved nearby so thought I would give it a try. I saw photos online from 2019 that showed sand on the greens and unkept fairways. But the 2021 photos looked way different.

The greens were in excellent shape - fast and hard. The fairways were also well groomed. It’s somewhat tight but wide enough that it’s not a target course. It also opens a great deal on many holes. Short fun par 3s as well.

I’m playing again.

Greens are excellent. Fairways not quite up to par yet (will be better after hot weather.). Pace of play too slow. Need Marshall to help speed up play. Appears course is over- booked at times.

This course is a goat pasture

The golf holes are all right next to each other and there’s no direction

No starter and no organization anywhere.

If you a decent golfer please don’t waste your money!

This is the second time I’ve paid for 18 and unable to finish because the starter has no control of what’s going on. 3.5 hours to get through 9 hope is ridiculous. 3 foursomes groups waiting to tee off.

Fairways are in some desperate need of seeding and tee boxes as well. It’s a great layout but needs some correction for sure.

This was a fun course to get a quick 9 in on a Friday afternoon. Staff was very friendly, and the course is in good condition. Some greens were a bit sandy, and a couple of fairways were hard, but overall it's a good time. Tough dog legs

Cart path only when we played. I accidentally booked an earlier tee time but staff was friendly and there were no issues. Hilly course with a lot of sharp doglegs. Greens were a little sandy and a couple fairways were a bit hard (especially when you’re hitting above or below the ball), but it’s good golf

Took almost 5 hours to play this short course. Marshall’s were not present and no solution being worked to solve the slow group ruining everyone’s round.

Overbooked leading to lenghty delays.....finally had to hop off after ten holes and WAY TOO MANY FOURSOMES HOLDING UP PLAY. OVERBOOKED

Not worth $60 A ROUND

The pace of play was extremely slow. The players ahead of me were playing very slowly. The Marshall was never seen patrolling the course, so players played accordingly.

Greens and tee boxes in great shape. Fairways not in good shape.

My initial interaction was with the starter who was a jerk My first time their and he was rude, not once but twice. If you don't like dealing with the public then get another job. Fairways had very little grass & lots of sand. The greens were in great shape though. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Played on Saturday. The Greens were in good condition but not cut to allow a decent speed. Driving range was devoid of grass. Pace of play was atrocious, with no ranger to speed up play. ( nearly 5hours for 18 holes) No (zero) cart service .
