Sand Traps are like concrete
The course overall is well maintained, nice greens, nice fairways but the sand traps are atrocious. They are mostly dirt with very little sand. Most of the time I have to pull my ball out because it's unplayable. I did complain after my round and they showed me a plan to renovate the bunkers which is fine but why the Heck can't they get a few yards of sand and at least put a fresh layer over what's there? Additionally their COVID-19 foam doughnuts are way to big. I've played many courses this year and these are the worse, the ball skips over the hole when it should drop. Cut a smaller diameter piece and lower it another inch. I've been to courses with an alter flagstick, no foam which are great maybe look into that? I also despise the fact that you can't take the golf cart out to the parking lot to load and unload. I still think this is a nice place to golf and would be even better with those improvements.
Glad I booked it
A group of us were looking to play and tee times were going fast so I booked this course on a whim. Boy am I glad I did. The course was beautiful with a challenging but fun layout. I will definitely play here again.
Decent place
Decent course that could use some upkeep. Many town homes and houses surrounding the course. Good place to play
Not in good golf shape
I’ve play this course a few times, but doubt I’ll go back. The course was not in good condition, the “sand traps were mud holes and unplayable. The fairways needed some work and a little water. The greens were just ok. I like the layout, but not a fan of back to back par 3’’s.
Great condition, brutal pace of play
Course was in awesome condition, fairways were a bit soft as were the greens, but there was almost never a bad lie (other than an open divot on the fairway, but that calls for free relief, right?). Shorter course, as the tips (blacks) played at about 6100-6200 yards.
On the flip side, there was no marshall driving around enforcing any sort of pace of play or course etiquette. We had a foursome in front of us who never let us play through (we were a twosome) and continued to mope around the course, searching day and night for drives just to drop a ball. This is not a vent session about bad golfers, it’s a call for help to educate newer golfers on golf etiquette. In addition, a marshall driving around would have been nice to give them the hint.
The clubhouse manager/employee? Is beyond rude. He seemed annoyed to provide any service to anyone. Must have been a former cop or something.
Challenging course
Enjoyed my round. Several challenging holes and lots of water. Greens in very good condition. Some brownout on fairways but generally good condition. Friendly staff
Not for the high handicapper
I am a 100 shooter and a casual golfer so take that into account
This course is about as tight and penal as it gets. Just a small miss and you are either wet or OB. Not a place to grip and rip.
A thinking golfers course. You need to plan your shots. The bunkers have no sand so like hitting off concrete. Pace of play was OK. Not fun to lose a dozen balls so quit Keeping my score after 9. For a more skilled golfer - a great time. My son shot an 80.
Good layout and Good Staff
Had a good time and some cold drinks on the outdoor terrace
Great Course Great Value
Aside from the course playing a bit short I don’t have anything negative to say. The greens were very tough, the course was in great condition, plenty of water hazards and sand traps and some pretty tight fairways. I would definitely play again.
It’s name explains it all
This is a great course, with a great pace, but there are a lot of water hazards compared to most courses around. Lots of ponds and little lakes strewn throughout the course makes it challenging and fun.
Nice course of convenience
Decent course...some challenging holes...especially 7,10 and 13. The starter who looks like The Penguin (Danny DeVito) from Batman is not ver friendly...otherwise the staff is friendly enough.
