pity about the bunkers
Some challenging (but fair) holes with all the water hazards, accuracy very important. Tees and fairways in great shape, greens had quite a few marks, they were very soft as they'd been watered so much. The main downside were the bunkers, the surface in them wouldn't be out of place in the parking lot.
Always a challenging course
Played this course several times a year but always find it a challenge to post good scores. It’s fun when playing with friends specially at the 19th hole after the game sharing stories of disastrous holes marring your possible good round. Fairways are really good these warm days when it’s dry. Will be back again for more fun.
Nice course
Good layout for challenging play. The only issue course holds water on many tee boxes and certain holes. I would play here again.
Great course
A good mix of challenging and straightforward holes. Course was in great condition despite weather in the area being poor leading up to the round. There is no driving range at the course and the beverage cart started a little late but overall a great course and a very fair price point.
Greens were a little slow but course was in great condition. Some bunkers were not that good.
First Impressions
Thanks to GolfNow, I found a new local course that I will likely play again in the near future. I don't know if I was lucky with the timing of my round, but I was very content with finishing a weekend round in under 3 hours. Overall I thought the course had a decent layout, but there are certainly a few holes where fairways are rather tight with water hazards that come into play.
Pros:
- Tees, fairways, and greens were fairly well maintained, and the green rolled pretty true.
- Multiple water holes make a shorter course a bit more challenging for golfers trying to test the accuracy of their shot placement.
Cons:
- The bunkers around the course were in need of some attention and needed much more sand and less rocks and pebbles.
Overall, I appreciated the general layout of the course and look forward to playing again to beat today's score... Hopefully my next visit won't have another triple bogey on a par 4 where I hit two balls into the water!
Bunker Ponds?!?
I know we recently had a lot of rain, but this golf course was terribly drained. On 8 different holes, the bunkers were flooded so badly that hitting your ball into one resulted in a lost ball.
The roughs were cut way too high, and super saturated. I was pretty disappointed by the cost considering the conditions of the course.
Pace of play was great, especially considering cart path only. At this time of year though, cost should have been about 20% less, or at least they could have provided a free sleeve of balls for all the free donations to the bunkers.
5 1/2 hr round
Too long of a round at almost 5 1/2 hours but it is a nice course for the money. I had fun with the guys I was paired with for the day. Everyone who worked there was very nice and helpful.
Post Snow Round
The course was very wet due to about six inches of snow falling 48 hours prior to tee time, Otherwise everything was great for this early in the season.
Fun round Rude staff
I ended up having a fun round with my brother, but it started off on a bad note the guys in the pro shop were very rude. I walked in at 10:10 for a 10:48 tee time the guy at the desk gave me a hard time about not being able to tee off early which I didn’t ask to or even want to. I just don’t like to be late. Sorry for showing up early.
Early season golf
Considering it was early in the season the golf course was in excellent shape. The greens were not yet cut and were slow but that was expected. I like the layout with water in play on several holes. It makes you plan your shots and keep the ball in play in order to score. Overall at $15 with a cart a great value.
Great Course layout
Excellent pace, fairways and greens in very good condition. Great value for the money, will play again!
