Beware 2,3, and 4
Holes 2,3, and 4 pose problems and require good judgement and a calm approach.
A real sleeper
Have not played in 15 years. They have really turned this course around. Greens are very good shape and fast the day I played.
Front nine builds your confidence then the back is much tougher.
Only negative I can think of is sands traps need much work. If you stay out of them you will thoroughly enjoy the course
Outstanding Value
Booked through GolfNow excellent price /value relationship. Staff always professional, knowledgeable and helpful. Great experience.
Glendale WOW
I really enjoyed playing golf on the course
It was very challenging a person needs to play it often to learn the corse, it really teaches you how to layup and not go for the long shot the water hazards will get you But had a great time can't wait to play it again
GREENS
THERE SHOULD BE A WAY WITHOUT CALLING THE COURSE THAT WHEN ANYONE BOOKS A COURSE VIA YOUR SITE THAT THE CUSTOMER SHOULD BE NOTIFIED OF ANY AERATION OR ANY CHANGES ON THE COURSE. I WOULD HAVE BOOKED A DIFFERENT COURSE. VERY DISAPPOINTED
The Pro said ,"The course is in good shape".
What??? We got to the 1st green and it had been Aerated , as well as the other 17 holes. The Bunkers hadn't been groomed for at least 3 days. A majority of the bunkers were either all clay or had standing water in them. The right front bunker on the par 3 #16 was FULL of water. My partner hit her tee shot in the bunker, and when we got to the trap, the water was so murky and deep, she couldn't see the ball to retrieve it. One would think that we would have been notified of these conditions at check-in!!!!!
I would suggest that Golf Now would not offer this course to their customers for at least 4-6 weeks.
Great Value
Played the course on the 1st day that golf carts were made available. Cart path only day and a very windy day. 1st time I ever played it and I was happy with the layout and the challenge. Lots of water and lots of trees. You get to use many different strategies from the tee box. I will definitely play again when the weather is better.
I played this course on a beautiful day in FEBRUARY. I have only been playing golf for a year and a half and am not a great golfer. The course has narrow fairways and homes right on top of the course. There is lots of water on the course. The clubhouse did not offer any type of food other than chips. Keep in mind this was in the middle of February so I'm sure during spring and summer months the clubhouse has a much better variety. With that said they should have atleast sold some hot dogs. For the money there are much nicer courses out there.
February
Of course the course was not in the best condition but it's February. I was just happy to be playing. That being said the course was not that bad. We al agreed to lift clean and place.
I will go back for sure
Glendale Lakes
course was in great shape, weather was beautiful
Very Nice Greens
Greens are Fast and RollsTrue. Some bunkers has no sand. Others has too much sand.Fun Course.
Great Value
Course layout is nothing too special, not too difficult, but the low price led to an enjoyable round. A lot of water, interesting dogleg par 5s where there are trees usually blocking your shot, and some elevation adds to the difficulty. Holes 2,3, and 4 are possibly the hardest 3 holes back to back in the area. Greens were in good shape, quite a bit of undulations on some especially with the pin placements. Would like to see more yardage markers, but otherwise a very enjoyable experience. I would definitely avoid the bunkers-they are rock hard with pebbles...not ideal.
Water hazards on 12 holes
Course was in great shape. Not a forgiving course for beginners or high handicap players. Very challenging for lower handcap players. Need to use all your clubs to keep ball in play
Good Course some holes with poor layout
The worst thing about the course is the fairways did not seem to be watered, and yet sloped toward the water. had a few balls run off the green into some of the hazards, one hole, the 10th, water right in the middle of the fairway, having not played before hit a driver and easily bounce into the water if there were placards with distances would have used a 3 wood.
Sand in bunkers varied greatly in quality (yes I know better than to be in them!)
Staff was great and over all is a good value
