Great value
On time tee off, friendly staff & the course was in great
condition. Sale price of $20 was great bargain
Sopping wet
The course drains very very poorly, we had a small rain the night before and the greens still had standing water on some parts at 11 am. Most of the course was very sloppy and spongy from the night before.
Good golf
Good value for a good course. A fair amount of water will keep you on your toes. Dick Nugent architect so there is a fair amount of target golf involved.
Close, reliable, good value
Plenty of water, some challenging holes, greens usually slow but in good condition. Sand traps a different story more like dirt traps. Best thing about Glendale Lakes usually you can get a tee time and tat a good price. Staff are cordial.
Short w/ Lots of Water
Second time playing Glendale Lakes. Easy course for those who are accurate off the tee box. There are about 9-10 holes where water is in play, which is probably this course's best attribute. From my experience, the pace of the play on the weekends is solid (a little over 4 hours). Drawbacks include bunkers that have no sand in them and greens that are decent at best. I'm not in any hurry to play here again this season, but I may if I can find a nice deal under $35.
I like this course
I went out as a single, got paired with three other singles. All these guys were great to play with and a good time was had by all.
holes
course is great, but many holes everywhere and people/club do not fix them.
course is OK
What I did not like is the fairways end 50 yds +/-before the green. You shouldn't have to look for balls in this area. The sand traps are lacking sand. They are dirt pockets. The greens are bumpy. Ball hops a lot.
Price are fair
Green and pace of play very are slow. Overall are ok.
Good challenge for average golfer
Overall decent play. Not sure if recent storm saturated bunkers but sand was packed, rough was more than average height, lost balls on grass. Players not repairing ball marks on greens. Ok For the $27 5pm tee time but no more.
Great course
I have played this course 3 times and it has been great every time! Fairways and greens are in great conditions! I have no complaints at all about this course.
Very Long Rough Grass
The first cut along the fairway (or is that a 2nd cut?). Anyhow, it was unacceptably long. I lost at least 8 strokes trying to hit out of those things. This isn't Scotland! Other than that, the greens weren't in great shape and a lot of work appeared to being done in various sand traps.
Not Bad
Wouldn't give me any type of refund or credit towards the course since we only played 8 holes due to the thunderstorm. Front desk staff didn't really care that we didn't play a full 18, only cared that we paid.
Nice layout, very fun coarse to play
I wish the fairways were all the way to greens. My wife had a hard time not hitting far enough on some holes the fairways are non existent from 100 yards into just short of green. She gets penalized for hitting straight down the middle
target golf.
Staff very friendly. Marshalls were out to keep pace up. Bunkers poor. Greens slow. Fairways nice. Target golf at its best. Worth the Golfnow price.
Great course
First time playing the course, what a treat for $23 GN fees included. Got paired up with 2 nice guys who play here often. Played in about 4 hours on a busy Saturday.
Nothing bad to say about the course, I'll be back for sure!!
Decent value for the money.
Played this course numerous times over the years. Greens were quite shaggy, hadn't been cut or rolled. Fairways were in good shape after heavy rains. One big minus were the bunkers. Just terrible, no sand in then, just dirt. Now I remember why I haven't gone there in years, $19 green fee or not!
Spring start up
All tee boxes and farways are in good shape but "greens" , sand was not cleaned up completely after preparing for spring season.
Can be intimidating
Being a 12 handicap this course always presents a challenge. Hole 2 can be reached in 2 if you stay left on the fairway. Hole 4 narrow fairway with water on the right and O/B left. Best to hit a high iron straight. 7th hole keep left to hit green in 2. 10th hole- Water about 250 out and also to the left.
The course was in good shape considering the rain we had during the week. Greens ran good, but hard to read breaks.
For the money its always fun. We hit it several times a year. This round was to practice for the annual Spring Fling they hold every year.
