Brazell's Creek Golf Course has a unique layout that is like getting to play two courses in one. Designed by Georgia native Denis Griffiths, the course begins with a parkland-style front nine and then transitions into a links course. The original nine holes, the front nine, are connected to the new nine by a winding 1,500-yard bridge. The player-friendly front nine offers some good opportunities to build up your score before the more challenging back nine, which will test even the most seasoned golfers. The fairways on the front nine are tree lined and narrow but you won't have to deal with the wind, which you'll be confronted with on the longer, tougher back nine. Brazell's Creek Golf Course's signature hole is the par-3 15th. This 207-yard hole plays over wetlands to a large, undulating island green.

Tale of Two Nines

This golf course is a wonderful test for golfers, and the two nines are polar opposite, which keeps you in check. The front nine is one that is consistent of the typical south Georgia country club feel, with narrow fairways tucked underneath stately pines. The back nine is wide open to the point where you can stand on the 10th tee and see 8 of the nine holes. This side is a wonderful links style nine, that seems similar to that of Whistling Straits (or at least what that looks like on TV). There was hardly any wind on he front, but there was a constant wind on the back that was quite noticeable.

Overall this golf course was worth the rate, as are most of the state park courses. The test this course provides is very good, but beware, the back nine will be significantly tougher than the front. I will definitely be back

Exercise back 9

The course isn't in good shape. The fairways are weeds & you can't define the fairways from the rough.& the greens are spongey & patchy. The back 9 is in a little better shape. We traveled 1hr & 50 mins to play this as it's a great course when it's in good shape, I guess we'll try again in the summer, fingers crossed

Nice course great staff.

Had a great time at this course. Like the differences from the front nine and the back nine. The front is tight and very challenging not very long. The back nine is wide open and long but not as easy as you would think. The grass on the fairways on the back nine needs to grow out. They were a little hard. I would recommend is course.

Great course, fantastic greens!

This has always been a great course to play but the greens have been a bit lacking. I've played some top courses and I have to say these greens are now every bit their equal.

The first nine is your standard tree-lined layout. The back nine Griffiths-designed layout is entirely different, links-style like you see in the British Open. Wide open and windy conditions usually.

Never crowded, always kept in immaculate condition, a challenging layout where you play two entirely different courses in one round, I just can't say enough! In short.....great course!!!

First time play

Had mixed feelings playing for first time but rate was too good to pass up. Pros- friendly staff, great rate, uncrowded, great weather. Cons- greens are bumpy and have some fungus making them roll terribly. The back nine was much better being wide open where the sun could dry them out after our wet winter. Other than that if you're in the area you should try it out.

Great Layout!

I truly enjoyed my round at Brazells Creek. They were working on the front nine greens, and they were awful! Back nine was good! But the layout is outstanding! I am looking forward to going back when they get the greens under control. But for the money, not a bad experience at all! I will be back!

Will definitely play here again.

My son and I went here with a Hot Deal from Golf Now. Played 18 holes for only $10 each, cart included. The front nine is gorgeous with it's trees and natural forage. There were a couple of greens that were not in the best of shape but you could tell the course was trying to correct the problem. The back nine in fairly new and was built in a hay pasture. Everything is open but is in very good shape. In a couple of years, the back nine should be as nice as front nine. Overall, we had a great time and WILL be visiting again.

Good potential but poorly maintained

The layout is unique with the front fairly narrow and tree lined and the back a links style course. Conditions were not good, and greens were slow and bumpy. Even with the "hot deal" the value isn't there.

Great Course

Course was in great condition and friendly staff. Got a hot deal tee time and couldn't beat playing for 12 bucks. The front nine is a good challenge and the links style back nine is wide open and easy birdie opportunities.

Brazells Creek

There is not another course like this one that I have EVER seen. The front nine is relatively tight with trees everywhere. However, the back nine is like being on a whole other course. The back is very similar to the 2015 U.S. Open course in Washington with a links style feel. The course could be in better shape than it is but is so different for this area.

Course fees

If you can't get the hot deals it is not worth the price after you pay for golf and for a non playing rider fee. Several courses within 50 mile radius have better all day prices and do not charge rider fees. State park courses should not be that expensive especially in Reidsville, Ga

Hidden secret

Course is in very good condition. Greens and fairways are good due to the new superintendent that was hired last summer. If you haven't played this course in the past 6 months you need to try it now.

Good and unique course. Beware of showing up just past your tee time though. Guy behind counter will hassle you and threaten not to honor your o price

Really unique. Front 9 is standard golf with good layout decent greens. Greens are a little bumpy but suitable for a day out just don't expect tour quality but they're overall good. Back 9 is worth while though! Not one tree exist on the whole course (except ob). It's like a links style and will play tricks on your distance judgment. Plus hazards are king sand traps full of brush that makes finding the ball difficult and hitting just as difficult. Fairways are key here. Go out of the fairways or first cut and 9 out of 10 times have stroke n distance. A miss of the fairway not in the hazards means knee high grass that you'll probably never find your ball in. Very enjoyable overall.

State Park

Raining, so course was empty allowing me to play in under 3 hrs.....Both nines were good, but completely different, with the back side being wide open and the front fairly tight. Greens were fair to good and would go back again.
