Brazell's Creek Golf Course
About
Brazell's Creek Golf Course has a unique layout that is like getting to play two courses in one. Designed by Georgia native Denis Griffiths, the course begins with a parkland-style front nine and then transitions into a links course. The original nine holes, the front nine, are connected to the new nine by a winding 1,500-yard bridge. The player-friendly front nine offers some good opportunities to build up your score before the more challenging back nine, which will test even the most seasoned golfers. The fairways on the front nine are tree lined and narrow but you won't have to deal with the wind, which you'll be confronted with on the longer, tougher back nine. Brazell's Creek Golf Course's signature hole is the par-3 15th. This 207-yard hole plays over wetlands to a large, undulating island green.

I like this course
First time playing this course. I liked it, especially the wide open back nine. Will definitely go back there!
Great Course !!
Great course, the front 9 and back 9 are completely different courses. Front 9 is in the trees with rolling hills and the back 9 is wide open links style course.
It’s a must play if you get the opportunity!
Loved it!
Super fun and cool course. Literally get to play two courses. Staff was great. Track was in great shape. Very gettable and enjoyable. If you don’t like this place you need to hang up the sticks.
Course was in good shape for this time of year. Only issue we had was at the range as there were no balls in the machine. Not a big deal but you would expect that would have been one of first things checked before the course opened. First tee times aren’t until 8:00 am.
Greens
The front nine was nice to play, the back nine was not pleasant at all, the greens are terrible and almost not playable! Should have played the front twice.
Pace of play was very slow
Needs some attention
Greens
The greens on the back nine were terrible, if we could have played the front 9 twice it would have been fine! Needs a lot of work to be called a golf course! Slow play on the back nine, not sure why it is not maintained better.
Love the nature ride thru to the back!
Great day!
Front nine some what tight, hills, trees, and ravine.
Back nine 1 mile from club house awesome boardwalk then wide open, like a different course.
Very cool and fun.
Fun course
This is a fun amalgam of two courses. The front nine is a woodlands course with a number of interesting dog legs. One interesting point is that the red and gold tees play virtually the same length. This is something they may want to correct. The greens are fairly flat and true. After the front nine there is a one mile cart ride through wetlands to a links style course. The greens on this nine have some foreign grass invading that needs to be sorted out. There we a number of interesting holes on this 9as well. All in all an enjoyable round.
Spectacular course layout
Brazell's Creek is a real gem. It's true the front and back may as well be on different planets. I preferred the front; although hole 17 on the back is quite memorable. The course is in a state park and the local "gubmint" lackey running the register had very poor customer service skills. Most putting greens are infested with weed growth and turf disease; but they are otherwise trimmed. Despite those minor negatives; I'd highly recommend this stunning layout. It's a great golf experience.
Two Totally Different Nines
I was pleasantly surprised by this golf course. The "old" front nine winds through trees and creeks with some tight driving holes. Shot placement is premium if you want to score on this nine. The back nine is quite a trip from the clubhouse winding through the woods to a wide open "new" nine. There isn't a single tree on this nine, and is designed like a true links course. With this wide open nine, the wind came more into play. The overall condition was not great for winter, but certainly playable. Would like to give this course a try once again.
