Brazell's Creek Golf Course
About
Brazell's Creek Golf Course has a unique layout that is like getting to play two courses in one. Designed by Georgia native Denis Griffiths, the course begins with a parkland-style front nine and then transitions into a links course. The original nine holes, the front nine, are connected to the new nine by a winding 1,500-yard bridge. The player-friendly front nine offers some good opportunities to build up your score before the more challenging back nine, which will test even the most seasoned golfers. The fairways on the front nine are tree lined and narrow but you won't have to deal with the wind, which you'll be confronted with on the longer, tougher back nine. Brazell's Creek Golf Course's signature hole is the par-3 15th. This 207-yard hole plays over wetlands to a large, undulating island green.

Wide open back 9
Had a nice enjoyable round in the misty rain.
Front 9 was closed which was a pity but considering the amount of rain I was happy to be able to play .
Very little standing water around the course and greens were I good shape for this time of year.
Both the par 5 holes required 3 good shot to get on the green and the par 3 holes are long with a carry over of some brush.
Fairways are wide open and in good shape along with the golf cart path.Lady in the clubhouse was also very nice and overall I would recommend this course to anyone .
Nice day
Played Brazells again today. Great weather. Course in great shape. Only problem was it was crowded and many obvious first time golfers who could not play at a reasonable pace. Result, we sat and waited a lot. Otherwise, great day.
Sunny great day
It looks like there has been a frost, as the fairways have all gone dormant and turned brown. Greens are great and super fast. Great day to be out, not too crowded and mid 70’s makes it perfect.
Great course
This was a all around good course everything to the tee box, fairway to green was top notch quality
Back again
Got another Hot Deal for this course and had to come back. Everything is groomed to perfection. I play senior tees but this course is LONG. It’s in wonderful condition, not crowded and a fun time. Front side is pretty challenging, back is a long trip. We drive about 90 minutes to play it but worth spending the day. Great course, but the first cut is a little deep and easy to loose a ball in. We’ll come back.
Always great
Fairways and greens are perfect. This is a great challenging long course which is in excellent shape.
Great, Alice if you don’t mind the drive
Booked a Hot Deal at 2:00 pm. Wonderful day, hardly anyone on the course. Everything was manicured to perfection. Greens were super fast. I’ll be back again. Only problem is we live in Savannah and it’s about a 90 minute drive but we’ll worth it.
Good round
Enjoyed the round. The front nine greens a little slower then the back nine. I love the layout of the course
Front nine and back nine couldn’t be more different. Makes for a fun and challenging golf experience. 10/10 would recommend
Good time
Excellent experience. My grandson and I really enjoyed the course !
Very Fun and Great Value
This was my first time playing Brazell’s Creek. I really enjoyed the course and the layout and the variety of holes and the total difference between the front nine and the back nine.
The course is a tale of two nines! Front nine is a traditional southern course layout with water, large oak and pine trees lining the fairways, etc. The back nine is totally different and is a links style course. Almost not a tree at all on the back nine. Two very fun and different nine hole courses for one price!
Great golf and an amazing value for the money!
Course is very well kept and maintained. The great golf and layout get for a VERY reasonable price makes Brazell’s Creek an EXCELLENT value. The worst part was that the greens were quite slow versus what I am used to playing. Also, make sure to take plenty of bug spray. The bugs are crazy thick and relentless. If you do not have bug spray, you will definitely regret not taking any with you.
I was also amazed how those playing the course have very little, to no regards for the etiquette of golf (drive their carts right up next to the greens, park their carts right next to the tee boxes (especially on the back nine), at least four different fivesome playing together, driving the carts wherever you want with no regard for the cart paths or signs stating to “stay out of natural areas”. I did not see a ranger, so it seems locals do what they want. This is a Georgia State Park course. Course was in very good condition. I will definitely be back to play again if I am in the area.
GREENS WERE AMAZING
DURING THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC, THIS COURSE REMAINED OPEN WITH A FEW COURSE MODIFICATIONS TO ENSURE SAFETY FOR ALL. THIS INCLUDED PROVIDING HAND SANITIZER, CLEANING SUPPLIES FOR CARTS, AND PULLING THE FLAG PINS SO SO THAT NO ONE HAD TO POTENTIALLY CONTAMINATE THEMSELVES. THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY, AS ALWAYS. OVERALL HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE. ROB, DAWN, AND THE REST OF THE STAFF DO A GREAT JOB KEEPING ME AND MY PLAYING PARTNERS WANTING TO COME BACK.
