About
HeatherRidge Golf Course is a nine-hole course with all the challenges of a full-length course. It's an ideal round for when you don't have time to play 18 holes. Water has a prominent presence throughout thanks to a creek that winds through the entire course with tributaries that snake in and out of the holes and there are also ponds that come into play. You'll find water on a total of seven holes. There are a few other tricky spots to watch out for as well, including subtle breaks in the greens. Hitting straight is the key to scoring well and both accuracy and creative shot-making skills are needed. HeatherRidge G.C. has appeal for players of all skill levels and the affordable rates make it doubly appealing.

Enjoyable round
I really like the layout of this course. However, I played late in the afternoon one day after a large storm and the course was not cleaned from debris, excessive water on the fairways, branches and on one hole there was a tree blocking the cart path. I still enjoyed the round but it would have been nice for the staff to mentioned these issues when I arrived at the clubhouse.

I was very please with the round. The course was in excellent shape and some of the holes were very challenging. The layout of the holes were nicely mixed. I will definitely play in this course again.

Relaxed and Fun
First time playing Heather Ridge. Course is perfect for inexperienced golfers and for a group,wanting to get out and have some fun together. A lot of couples playing a relaxed round. Tees and Greens in great shape. Playable for all and still challenging for more experienced golfers. If you’re looking to get in a relaxing 9 holes, Heather Ridge is a great option!
Great 9 hole course
Very nice track , nice fairways and nice greens . Great run off when wet . Played from the tips . There’s a long par 3 that was (to the eye ) longer than typical of par 3’s. I’ll play there again no doubt. I play Pine Meadow , Steple Chase etc and for a 9 for the price you can’t beat it!!
Says cart was included went there and asked for the cart and he said we don’t give carts out after 4 so had to walk the course

Nice 9 Hole Course
This is a very well kept 9 hole golf course. Not very challenging, but a very nice place to play 9 holes with your wife, or to just loosen up your swing.
Beautiful 9 holes
Always an enjoyable 9 holes at Heather Ridge in Gurnee, IL. Lots of shade on hot days, mix of long and short game makes for a fun time. Outdoor bar and grill is great for a relaxing break afterwards. Staff is so nice and accommodating.
Bad attitude by the staff.
Booked our tee time through golf now, was on time. From the start the guy at the counter gave attitude. Said we were late, when I know we were not. Then he wanted to charge us more than the golf now price. I said no thanks and walk out. Won't be coming back.
Overall an average course, a short 9 holes one of the better ones I’ve played in as a last minute “want to play “ ....found this course beat up by resent rain but they are doing there best in maintaining, tee box and greens fairly good shape Kudos to greens keepers.
Overall I liked it, gave me a chance to get out when larger courses were very busy..
I would return..
Fine Nine
First hole needs more hazards to make it a more challenging short par 4. The rest of the course will keep you challenged. You'll really like the par 5 fifth hole. You just want to bomb it off the tee.
