Lakes Golf Course at Laura Walker State Park
About
Situated at the northern edge of the Okefenokee Swamp, the Lakes Golf Course at Laura S. Walker State Park is home to an abundance of native plants and wildlife including alligators, gopher tortoises, and blue herons. True to its name, the course has three large lakes and the layout is routed through numerous varieties of oak trees and palmettos. The course is as challenging as it is scenic with heavily undulating greens, water hazards, and strategically placed bunkers. There is also subtle but tricky, links-style mounding defining each of the fairways and landing areas. The course strikes a nice balance of player-friendly and difficult holes but be prepared for the final holes on both the front and back nine, they are considered the toughest on the golf course.

Camping & Golf
❤️ this place!! A beautiful well kept course. Will be baxk
Great Layout
The course has a great layout and has some very challenging holes but fair. We played during the winter and fairways were dormient. But greens were in good shape.
Good course for cost
Fun and challenging course to play. Greens weren’t the most beautiful but still creative and undulated. Beautiful scenery and friendly staff. Nice carts with a decent driving range.
Enjoyed !
Nice Course. A few oddly laid out holes, but overall quite nice. We will come back and play this course again for sure.
Friends & Family
When you and your friends lives only merge on a few occasions this is a wonderful way to spend time together. The course is a medium challenge with the perfect pace of play to enjoy the day.
Favorite course
First time playing the course with a handicap flag and their new GPS. Wasn't happy with that. They turned off the restrictions for main play, but the restrictions remaining were too severe for a person who has trouble walking. Couldn't get close to the greens and left you having to walk up the slope to most greens. I ended up walking 2.5 miles with a flag!!!! I wouldn't have been able to play here after my accident. I could swing a club but couldn't walk that far. Need to make it more accessible. Would hate to not be able to play here anymore.
