Maui Nui Golf Club

#18 is closed for greens work. Easily the best hole on the course. Why not a temporary green so we can play the hole? They squeezed in a short par 3 after number one which throws off the gps on watches and carts alike so you are not playing the hole number you’re seeing. Greens were ok. Fairways about the same.

Planned on lunch afterwards at the restaurant but pricing way out of line so we left. If you’re looking for a nice practice round this would be ok. If you’re visiting and want to really enjoy Maui golf, go elsewhere.

Nice course to get your golf started (blow the rust off). Friendly staff, good value and easy to keep ball in play. The construction takes away at this time but the upggrades are much needed. The 18th hole is unavailable due to green reconstruction. If you pay prime time rate you will be dissappointed. Look for a tee off dot come deal or after 10:30 rate. We had fun.

Rough greens, terrible tee boxes, lots of brown spots.

Nice layout and location. Greens pretty shaggy and inconsistent. Would be nice when improvements completed. Bathrooms gross and unclean

Maui Nui is a special course because it is such a friendly environment. The staff welcomes you with aloha. They have never met a stranger. Maui Nui offers a good price for regulars and maintains excellent guest relations. The course offers excellent practice facilities so I use the driving range often.

I call this my "home" course and meet buddies here for a challenging and fun day.

I wondered why there were very mixed reviews about this course. After playing it, I think I know why. If you are used to average and/or economical courses and you are an average golfer, this course has some nice elements to it. Some decent views, some holes with creative layout, and mostly decent greens. But if you are a good golfer (single digit handicap) and/or are used to playing nice courses, this course will likely disappoint.

The course is under repair, especially the 18th hole. The squeezed in an extra par 3 (new hole #2) to compensate.

reasonable green fees, conveniently located, course in great conditions, great hamburgers in club house.

First time playing and course has some renovations going on but still worth playing. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Price was right. Try it! Worth a shot.

Nice course. Greens were nice. Lots of muddy spots and washout on parts of the course due to a recent storm. Course was very wet during our round. A couple of blind tee shots, resulting in us getting hit into twice. Starter and pro shop lady very nice. GPS on carts.

Only complaints are: 18th hole was closed and we were not told so. No hole markers on holes, so it was confusing. The GPS hole indication was incorrect due to 18th closure. Very confusing. I would play again if conditions were better.
