Maui Nui Golf Club

First time playing and course has some renovations going on but still worth playing. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Price was right. Try it! Worth a shot.

Nice course. Greens were nice. Lots of muddy spots and washout on parts of the course due to a recent storm. Course was very wet during our round. A couple of blind tee shots, resulting in us getting hit into twice. Starter and pro shop lady very nice. GPS on carts.

Only complaints are: 18th hole was closed and we were not told so. No hole markers on holes, so it was confusing. The GPS hole indication was incorrect due to 18th closure. Very confusing. I would play again if conditions were better.

The course was muddy in sections.

The 18th hole was under repair and no notification was given prior to booking.

Our cart broke down on the ninth hole.

Hi the greens currently at this course are in horrible condition

They are un groomed, dry and bumpy

The fairways are not much better

Hopefully they can get them up to par

I am glad I didn’t pay full price to play

Also the bathrooms are dirty

Especially the one by the maintenance shed

Very easy to access, and great value for golf on Maui. Course is in pretty good condition, and they are redoing the green on 18. A temporary alternate hole 1B was fine. Pace of play was fine, easy to finish in 4 hours. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

I have played this course dozens of times over the years this was the worst shape ever

I thought the course layout was good. The wind was the biggest challenge especially on the back nine.

Greens were a little shaggy.

It was stated on the bottom of the scorecard that hole 18 was closed for renovation, which when we completed our round on hole 17 we could see that it was a very good finishing hole. They added a hole on the front side, so you do play 18.

The scorecard was printed on copy paper and stated that it is one hole off after #1. Very confusing.

Also there is no course rating and the slope is not accurate so don't expect to post your score.

As for value, it was worth the price paid. Would I play it again, yes, especially now that I have played it one time.

I was totally disappointed by the condition of the course. For the money I was charged I did not have any advance notice but the course was under repair. There was lots of mud and standing water. There was no direction on a hole change to indicate they were rerouting golfers. The scorecards were copies made from a personal computer. It was a Saturday morning and there was no cart service until we hit the 16th hole. Felt the cost for play was too expensive for the condition of the course.

By the time we hit the 7th hole there were two groups on every hole. Long waits. I watched one guy hit 4 shots and still had not reached the forward tee on a par 5. There were no rangers to help speed things up. The course is in great shape.

Nice muni. Good layout with a few really challenging holes. Lots of variety between even the holes. Greens were on the slow side.

The course seemed like it hadn’t had any maintenance in weeks.

The course itself is very nice. Unfortunately though, there are no hole markers on any holes, no ball washers anywhere, the GPS does not work because they replaced the 18th hole with a par 3 hole right between the 2nd and 3rd hole, which throws everything off. It was confusing to say the least. But for the discounted price I got through Tee Off it was well worth a little confusion.

Maui Nui is a fun course still with challenges to keep all golf levels engaged. We played on the first day of vacation and had a wonderful time. The only down side, they are working on hole 18 and it’s closed temporarily. In doing this the course track is temporarily changed a little confusing to follow but again did not temper our fun in playing.

Course is under renovation. 18, the par 5 signature hole is closed replaced with a make shift par 3. Greens were ridiculously slow and some in bad shape. Normally a really fun course and a bargain on Maui, but know what you are buying right now
