I booked a last minute tee time at Maui Nui and played the first six holes on my own before I caught up to a single in front of me and we joined forced for the rest of the round. The golf course had just punched its greens and they were not in peak condition. But otherwise, Maui Nui was fun. The layout is solid with the back nine a little more adventurous than the front as it climbs the hillside and drops back down. The early afternoon trade winds added to the back nine challenge. In a land of high-end resort courses, Maui Nui offers affordable, no frills golf which was appreciated.

If you're wanting to play golf on the south end of Maui, Maui Nui is the value choice. With Makena having gone private and Wailea being very proud of themselves, an average Joe like me can only find value at Maui Nui. Course conditions are not what they used to be, but the course is decent enough and the layout is still a ton of fun and the staff is great. Of course, the downside is that a ton of people like to play it, which made for a slow round on Wednesday.

My wife and I played here. We were a twosome and played in under 4 hours even with the course being fairly busy. Course was in great shape and the layout was enjoyable. Greens were in terrific shape. They were aerating the next day, so I don't know the current shape.

This used to be a fine course to play on but it has deteriorated significantly over the years. The greens were in horrendous shape with bald areas that made it difficult to judge distance or speed.. Very disappointing round of golf. Won’t return.

Great golf course. Love the layout. You must control the tee shot off the tee to play here. If you are wild. Bring lost of balls.

Beautiful and relaxing

Had an opportunity to play Maui Nui while in Kiehe. The course was challenging, lots of blind shots. But the greens and course were in excellent shape, especially for the summer. The views, especially on the back nine, were wonderful. Lots of birds and geckos to be seen. Overall would highly recommend and play this course again.

My family and I recently got into golf and decided to play our first 9 holes in Maui. Unfortunately our initial tee time was cut short by a tsunami warning but we came back the next morning and was able to finish our game. Staff is very friendly and overall it was a great experience. I’d definitely recommend playing here!

Had a great time on the course. Decent value for the money, especially on Maui. Greens were a bit funky and inconsistent the day we played. Rental clubs at $60 was a bit high but it is what it is. Hole 18 was a great hole with a great view.

The course lay up and greens were in good shape. Had a fun time as always. Day was overcast somewhat with slight winds from the south. Over all a great day of golf. Another bonus was the snack cart gal was coming around quite often in case you needed a snack or a drink.

This was a great course for the price. I would definitely play it again if I was ever back in Maui!
