Maui Nui Golf Club

Maui Nui is easily the best bargain on the island. The staff is so friendly and the pace of play is always under 4 hours. We have even donated golf gear to them for the area’s youth which they gladly except.

The course was in poor shape. The driving range does have monitors for distance, launch angle and such which is nice.

It’s ALWAYS a great day at Maui Nui. The price is right. The course is fair, and the pace of play is excellent. Absolutely everything is excellent and everyone is so very friendly.

My favourites are Lorinda and Sophie in the Pro Shop. All the cart guys are fantastic. My favourite beverage cart girl is Courtney. She’s FANTASTIC.

Staff was amazing!! Course beautiful, value was exceptional. Only thing was the pace at times was waiting and the greens need a little improvement.

Course is in rough shape. The construction on the back nine has taken one hole away which they don't tell you about. Greens are super slow. Looks like it once was a great track but no longer.

We are spending the winter in Maui and trying to golf as much as possible. The Maui Nui Golf Course has proven to be ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. We usually tee off before 7:00am and we are finished before 9:30am.

Lorinda and Sophie are my two favourite ladies in the Pro Shop. 🥰❤️ Everybody else treats us very well including other pro shop staff, golf cart staff, starters, and maintenance workers. Courtney or Maria (my two favourite beverage cart gals) can also help quench your thirst and provide some necessary “swing oil!” 🍻

Unfortunately, some road construction is happening on the former 12th Hole. A new par 3 has already been established as Hole #2, so we still have a full 18 holes. 

A full driving range also exists for full practice sessions, or just to warm up before around. “Gilligans” Pub has great happy hour deals and they have an excellent dinner menu as well. 🍹🌮

Course has some rough spots all the way through it. Not sure if lack of maintenance or moisture causing it. There is some construction going on also that contributes to the shape of the course.

Great course and great price. The pro shop and restaurant are a bit dated but the course was a lot of fun. Some elevated tees; holes requiring shot shaping and reasonable green speed. Sadly, we’re next to the ocean and most sand traps had little sand in them from where I was hitting. Maui Nui is not a high end resort course but a beautiful, friendly course that is absolutely worth a visit.

First time playing Maui Nui. 40+ times golfing in Hawaii. Maui Nui is in the top two courses for value, number one in staff competence and friendliness. Great views, some challenging holes, lots of wildlife, I'm sure some unappreciated, yet the grounds grew did some remarkable swift repair work. Highly recommend a round at Kihei's renowned, "locals Play" course.

I am a newer player so top notch courses wasted on me. This course was fun to play. Greens slow. Nice long fairways and not too many obstacles. Really liked the cart with screen telling me how far I was from hole and pace of play. Really great staff. Easy check in. Best Mai Tai on the island (thanks Cortney)

First things first, the staff was amazing. Course was in solid shape, they are clearly working on parts of the course ( irrigation, construction, general usage repair, etc). None of that affected the great round I experienced.

Black volcanic sand was amazing, completely different than mainland sands. Course was a great value. Is it the plantation course or Walia gold, no. But dollar for dollar the value was there. Next time in Hawaii I will play this course again

Good deal compared to supposedly nicer courses like kaanapali.

Course was in extremely poor condition. Greens were half dead or infected with some fungus. Fairways had areas of just dirt and rocks. Tee boxes poor shape, some with incl grass; others no grass. Overall avoid this course.

Front 9 played relatively easy. Back 9 was very challenging. Course was in immaculate condition. Greens rolled like a thin carpet. Fairways and tee clean and well maintained. Have played this course several times while on Maui. This time the course was near perfect.

For some one from the Midwest the Bermuda grass is a challenge to chip and put. Nice views up Haleakela and to the ocean. Played in 3:45, great pace.

First time golfing in Maui and although Maui Nui GC has a decent layout with interesting holes, course conditions not acceptable for paying over $100. Several greens were beat up and played very slow. Many tee boxes not good either and need more mowing. If you want an inexpensive course compared to the top notch courses on Maui, this course is probably okay but I expected better. The Calloway rental clubs were very good.
