The classic design of Maui Nui Golf Club combines different elements including reachable holes that face each cardinal point with strong prevailing winds that reward smart play for a layout that is both fair and challenging. The layout wanders through the foothills of Haleakula, providing subtle elevation changes as well as views of the ocean and the surrounding West Maui Mountains and the volcanic atoll Molokini. The golf course has a variety of holes that will have you hitting downwind, upwind, and with both left and right crosswinds. A few lakes and ponds also come into play. Maui Nui Golf Club's layout features generous fairways and large greens. The difficulty of the course depends heavily on the speed of the prevailing winds that day. Golfers will be greatly rewarded by keeping the ball in play and good putting and chipping skills.

Extremely rude threesome behind us and slow play in general

Group behind us hit three balls over our heads .. Twice while we were on the Tee Offs. Terrible golfers. Told the Pro Shop after the round. Not sure that they did or say anything to them!

The conditions of the teeing area, fairways, and greens were much better on the front nine than on the back nine. Pace of play was much faster this time compared to couple of days ago when we waited on every hole.

Maui Nui is a great course that allows golfers who love the game to play golf in paradise without having to suffer ridiculous resort course prices and pretentions! We love it ...it is like playing golf at a home course - you can feel the ALOHA spirit and still play a challemging round of golf - tee boxes and fairways in very good shape as are most greens...but a couple of greens need a bit of work which I understand is in the works - Cannot wait to go again in 2023! Thx MAUI NUI and your staff for all your hard work and welcoming attitudes. MAHALO!

Not worth the time or your dime

Let’s start off with the staff. The young man in Pro Shop good…the starter/cart supplier was just a miserable jerk…period! There was absolutely no reason to treat a paying customer with misery and rudeness. You don’t need his name…the staff should already know. Because of him, the planned meet with family for drinks and food after the round was canceled…seriously. Now to the course. The terrace winds are brutal, but make it interesting. That said the course is not interesting at all and felt like a sub par course in Anytown USA. By sub par I mean the course conditions from the tee boxes to the greens were not well kept. That’s okay if something else like great views or incredible holes were in play, but there aren’t any. Please, please…if you think this course should be played while on your vacation would be cool, you will be extremely disappointed! I won’t play it again!

Good bargain for Maui Golf

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Course is in fairly good shape. Greens were a bit bumpy. After round we had food and drinks at on site restaurant. Great bargain and food and drinks were great. Happy hour started at 1:00 pm!!
