Maui Nui Golf Club

Let’s start off with the staff. The young man in Pro Shop good…the starter/cart supplier was just a miserable jerk…period! There was absolutely no reason to treat a paying customer with misery and rudeness. You don’t need his name…the staff should already know. Because of him, the planned meet with family for drinks and food after the round was canceled…seriously. Now to the course. The terrace winds are brutal, but make it interesting. That said the course is not interesting at all and felt like a sub par course in Anytown USA. By sub par I mean the course conditions from the tee boxes to the greens were not well kept. That’s okay if something else like great views or incredible holes were in play, but there aren’t any. Please, please…if you think this course should be played while on your vacation would be cool, you will be extremely disappointed! I won’t play it again!

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Course is in fairly good shape. Greens were a bit bumpy. After round we had food and drinks at on site restaurant. Great bargain and food and drinks were great. Happy hour started at 1:00 pm!!

Fairways had some dry spots and some dirt spots. Greens were good. Clubhouse could use some TLC, even simply washing the doors would show attention. Carts were in great shape and cart path paved throughout. Very friendly staff.

Enjoyed a fantastic early morning round at just over 3 hours. The staff was great and course was in nice shape. Plan to play it again during our stay.

The course was in Fairly good condition. The pace of play was good until the last few holes. The greens could use some work. Overall, a very good value for the money. The staff was very friendly

Sunshine and lovely views. Large greens but the balls didn’t always roll in correctly, maybe a little bumpy in areas. Gilligans put had a fun menu and all was served hot and fresh.

2’nd time playing, reasonable rates for Maui golf. Pace of play was excellent

I have played this course each time we have visited Maui. I enjoy the layout and design of the course, but the last several years the greens and tee boxes have been in poor shape: The Greens are so slow and patchy that it’s like playing spring sandy aerated greens in Alberta, while many of the tee boxes are uneven. Although the staff are always super friendly and helpful; it just isn’t worth $70 US to play.

We allowed a (local) single to play through at 16. Cart girl came up and told us the guy (single that we let through) bought us a round of drinks.

It was beautiful day playing at Maui Nui

2nd time in 3 years I have golfed this course. I would recommend for any golfer from beginner to low handicap.

Windy day. Course condition not great. Grass on fairways and greens spotty.

I’ve played Maui Nui 4 times. It’s a great value if you can snag a discount tee time. Pleasant course layout, interesting but not overly challenging. Staff was very pleasant; the starter is a bit gruff but has a lot of personality. Pace of play was fine after a slow start. Main complaint is course conditions, greens were in very poor shape, fairways mostly fine, sand traps and tee boxes so so.

I was very satisfied with Maui Nui golf course. I had a great time and would love to play again. I doubt if this course is as pristine as some of the resort golf courses, but things were in very good playable conditions. Greens were slightly rough, but rolled true. Views are great!

We got around in 4:40 with mid-morning start. No surprises or crazy shot making required. "Sand" traps are mostly hard pan with a sprinkle of sand on top, so stay out if you can. Otherwise in great shape and a fun course.
