Pukalani Country Club

Overall a freak muni course. Greens are nice as are the fairways. My only complaint is the outdated and beat up golf carts. No springs, backfires constantly

We had a 2:50 tee time. I thought we could get done by dusk, even if it was a bit slow. After we paid and went to get our cart, we were told that we had to have the carts back in by 6pm. That would have been good information up front, before paying. I then thought that we could probably get in most of the holes. Unfortunately, it took us 3 hours to play the front nine. After the first hole we caught up to the group in front of us and the group behind us caught up to us. From hole one on there were three foursomes on each hole and at one time four foursomes. The course Marshall came by on the 4th hole and made no attempt to speed up play., after just driving by three groups on the same hole. We made the turn for at 5:50. Thought we might be able to play one more hole, but the group in front had not even reached the green. Didn't make any sense to try and play as we were going away from the clubhouse. Disappointing as it's a nice course and in good shape.. Seems to be a common problem as I talked to a couple of local golfers at a nearby eatery and they said it always seems to be slow.. If play is that slow either get a marshal/policy who will work at it or adjust tee times accordingly..

This is a real nice course. A little bit of a drive but nice scenery along the way. Not overly challenging which is fine for us. Sand traps are fairly firm so hitting out of them was difficult. Greens and fairways nice. They let a fivesome out which slowed things up. Would play again.

Groups should be timed and the those who fall out of position should be moved up -1 or 2 open holes is unacceptable - at one point we had 4 groups on a par 5 at the same time

First time playing. Will return again next time on Maui.

First time in several years since we played this course. Very pleasantly surprised at how nice the conditions are. Greens are near perfect. Fairways good, t-boxes not bad. All bunkers are like wet cement.

Great views. Couldn't play all 18 holes, closes at 6:00 so we ran out of time and only played 14. Very nice what we did play.

Rarely do I start a round with a par, but that happened here and set the mood for the day. Really pretty course and in very decent shape. Forgivable tees for the ladies and roughs were forgivable as well. Hilly on some holes which made it challenging with beautiful views on some. Will go back again soon!

Pukalani Golf Course is the first place I go to golf in Maui, and it never changes. Excellent tee times that are consistent and never slows play with backups. Love the challenge of the greens that through you off going uphill, downhill. I return every year.
