Pukalani Country Club has a unique location at the 1,100-foot elevation of the famous Mount Haleakala, an extinct volcano whose name means “House of the Rising Sun.” The dramatic elevation offers breathtaking views that span the West Maui Mountains to the Pacific Ocean. The golf course features wide, undulating fairways and fast, sloped greens. The gently rolling terrain can cause some tricky uneven lies. There are trees and well placed bunkers scattered throughout to provide further challenge. Pukalani Country Club has a unique feature on the par-3 third hole. The hole gives golfers the options of hitting to one of two very different greens, one which requires a tee shot over a tree-filled gully and another that requires a shot beyond a cliff to a pal tree-lined green.

Fun Course Beautiful Views

Got a great intro to the course at check in. The course is in good shape. The only thing I wasn’t prepared for is the golf cart condition and some bumpy cart paths and sometimes hidden pot holes along the non paved cart paths. But overall a great course and fun to play. My advice, be sure to take it slow and easy.

Nice Course

Beautiful views, wide fairways make this my favorite so far in Maui. Not as hot because od the higher elevation. Big pine trees on either fairway side that protects wayward balls.

Fun & Difficult

Long narrow fairways, better hit it straight.

Double green Par 3 was challenging, across the ravine or down the mountain, club selection is key to hitting the green.

Every hole is up or down elevation with 12-15 mph trade winds,

Club selection is key to scoring and not loosing to many balls.

Fun Course

Really enjoyed this course. About an hour’s drive from Kaanapali resorts. The course was in very good shape.

The service team of Jim in the pro shop and Jim in the cart area were both very friendly and helpful for people coming to visit for the first time.

The novelty of playing two different greens on the third hole was enjoyable.

We would definitely recommend this course to our friends and would play it again ourselves.

This course has lots of trees on sides, as long as you stay in fairway you will have a good score!! The greens were slow but I like slower greens then faster… the views upcountry are spectacular! The staff is always friendly!!
