When you arrive for the first time, you might think that the fires in Lahaina or hurricane whenever took out their clubhouse, and that they're using temporary facilities until they rebuild, but then you notice how "permanent" the facilities appear to be and realize this IS their normal state of operations. Couse was OK, layout is better than the upkeep and conditions (cup edge conditions suggested multiple days with the same pin positions). Then as twilight golfers, we were instructed to have the carts in almost 20 minutes before sunset, which I didn't appreciate given that could be two more holes played if we're moving along. Then about the 7th holes, a course worker comes up to us while were holing out, and tells us that we now have to stop playing another 15 minutes before the first deadline (which I would have ignored, except my playing partner was done when we got to the second instructed return time. But they definitely treated us as an obstacle to remove so they could continue with whatever they were doing after they left. Avoid this course unless you just can't afford anywhere else in Maui County. And if you found this course because some ratings said it was in the top 25 of Hawaiian courses, STOP using that source!

They let a fivesome go in front of us at 11:27 am. A fivesome of slow lousy players. Not fun when it’s hot out.

Wide fairways and elevated greens makes this a great course to play. Beautiful mountain and valley views. Nice pro shop, small Cafe.

Awesome round with my wife who plays every couple years. Laid back and challenging. The course is above average for being manicured. The price was spectacular! We joined up with a local couple and had great conversations.

Would love to play here weekly.

We really enjoyed our round of golf a Pukalani. The course was in very good condition and the green fees were very reasonable considering the quality of the course. The scenery was stunning. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will certainly play this course again on our next trip to Maui - perhaps more than once. We highly recommend it to anyone holing in Maui.

This was our second round at The Dunes on our current visit to Maui and we enjoyed it even more the second time around. The course is in beautiful condition and is challenging without being punishing. The scenery is stunning on every hole and the green fees are very reasonable for the quality of the course. We will be back to play again on a future visit and would highly recommend it to anyone else.

Good shape. Food was great. Nice deals in pro shop. Friendly staff. Decent layout with a few vistas featuring a long view of mid Maui

Another great day of golf at Pukalani. Beautiful, well-maintained course that is a pleasure to play.

The only criticism is the pace. Our 4-some began right on time at 1:16 PM but were unable to complete the last hole due to the VERY slow pace of golfers ahead of us. 4 hours should be a normal pace, but we got kicked off after 17 due to the time (6:00 PM) and darkness. A course range would be helpful to keep the pace of golfers moving at a reasonable rate. Hope to play here again soon!

The course once again was in good shape and played as intended. Definitely experienced the grain in the greens causing some issues. Overall a pleasant round on a reasonable course.
