About
Pukalani Country Club has a unique location at the 1,100-foot elevation of the famous Mount Haleakala, an extinct volcano whose name means “House of the Rising Sun.” The dramatic elevation offers breathtaking views that span the West Maui Mountains to the Pacific Ocean. The golf course features wide, undulating fairways and fast, sloped greens. The gently rolling terrain can cause some tricky uneven lies. There are trees and well placed bunkers scattered throughout to provide further challenge. Pukalani Country Club has a unique feature on the par-3 third hole. The hole gives golfers the options of hitting to one of two very different greens, one which requires a tee shot over a tree-filled gully and another that requires a shot beyond a cliff to a pal tree-lined green.

Fun course
Nice layout, overall all course in good shape, lacks cart paths, friendly staff.
Great Time on Vacation
If only this place was closer to where I was staying! Staff was cool, pretty relaxed. Course is a twisty, turny, beautifully laid out course with stunning views. Nice open fairways, with some good challenges mixed in. Sand was in below average condition and the greens rolled a bit slow (which we were warned about), but overall – great time and I recommend!
Great course!
Every time we come to Maui the first tee time we make is at Pukalani. Best price for a beautiful course. Mountain and ocean views can’t be beat. Challenging but also forgiving for newer golfers.

Course layout thru the neighborhood is interesting and lots of Maui plants and flowers to see. Great for my wife as a rider.
The drive to pukalani is interesting with nice views.

Worth the drive
If you’re visiting Maui, this upcountry course offers a pleasant temperature change from the coastal courses, has nice views, and has average layout/grounds, but at an attractive price point compared to other places on the island. They now have replaced the very worn golf carts I had experienced in prior years. I recommend the course for players of all levels, as there is something for everyone here.
Great Time playing at pukalani
This course is well worth the price. Very reasonable for Maui. Conditions were Great. Staff super friendly and pace of play was really good.
Nice Course
Very nice course for the money.!
Inside staff was great, starter was super funny.
But disappointed with the course marshal as he said to hurry up on the 2nd hole…. We were just trying to look for our ball and by the 4th hole we were waiting for the group in front of us…. Why the reason to “hurry” up and what type thing really was bothering.!
Anyway, it was still a wonderful day

Course in nice condition from tee to green. Weather nice and cool up in the foothills. Also enjoyed the happy hour.
Great round even though the power was out.
Local power had been out for 7 hours when I arrived at the course but friendly staff moved everyone along well. The course played great!
Can’t be beat for the price
Although it’s not right on the water. It’s up on the side of the mountain and you can get some good views. Overall great course, and for the price it’s a no-brainer. Would go back for sure. Nothing fancy, but well taken care of and some newer carts were nice. Greens were extremely slow, but made for a challenge. Would recommend if you don’t want to spend $200 or more on a round of golf.
Best golf course on Maui !
I had a very wonderful day golfing Pukalani golf course . I was a single and joined by two gentlemen that swear by this beautiful course. Loved every minute. Views are spectacular and the people here are ALL FANTASTIC 👍😁
