What you see is what you get
Excellent facilities. Good overall bang for your buck (especially if you get Hot Deal on GolfNow). Only glaring issue would be some suspect pin placements. Course is in good shape overall.
Fun course
Love the layout here and the pace of play was right at 4 hours on a Saturday morning. Course was also in great shape despite the lack of rain.
Lots to Love
Layout is fun. More undulation than most Chicagoland public courses (CPCs). Sand is fluffy, not clay/dirt-esque like most CPCs. Pace seems to always be good. 4 hours on weekdays, less than 5 on weekends. Driving range, large putting area, bigger chipping area. Halfway house accessible via like 6 holes. A couple proper bathrooms here and there. The clubhouse has a proper bar/restaurant. Definitely a top 5 CPC for me.
With the lack of rain, the course was dried out. With all courses, no one repairs their ball marks

Course in great shape. Challenging but a great layout. Liked the snack areas on the course. Truly enjoyable round.

I have played Heritage Oaks about 6 times. I always enjoy the round. It is a fun course to play and has some very challenging boles.
Nice course over crowded
I had to circle back after 9 and play again near days end. Back up was bad if I continued. Otherwise it’s a nice course.
Too many computer generated pin spots in crazy locations.
Specifically, the 14th hole. Five feet from the edge of the green and at the bottom of a ridge.
I mentioned this to the greens keeper and he replied like a real idiot.
