Woodlands Golf Club, which sits only 30 minutes from St. Louis, is known for having some of the area's best greens. The putting surfaces roll true and hold well on the approach. This public course has garnered a local following thanks to not only its green conditions but also the affordable rates. With a diverse landscape and unique hole designs, it's definitely a shot-maker's layout. You'll probably use every club in your bag on this golf course. A long creek winds across the entire layout, coming into play on a few holes. There are also strategically placed bunkers that lurk along the greensides. Although Woodlands Golf Club is relatively short at just over 6,400 yards from the back tees, it feels much longer thanks to a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic.

Needs some TLC
I really hope the management reads this review.
Tee boxes were in less than favorable condition but playable.
Fairways were pretty decent. Needed a cut when we were there but overall not bad
Now we come to the letdown... Greens were in horrible condition! They need to tell the old codgers and non golfers to repair their ball marks. The greens were so pockmarked it made it difficult to put. Also the greens were way too long. Needed to be cut. Advice to management: spend $100 and put up little signs at each green to remind the old codgers to repair ball marks

Awesome Course
Tee box’s we’re a little chewed up but there was still room to play on each one. Fairways and greens are in great shape. Some pace issue towards the end of the front and back, would be nice to see a marshal out managing pace. One of the nicer courses I’ve played in the area and for $30 on a Friday morning, by far one of the best values in the area. Highly recommend giving this course a go!
