Would recommend calling for tee time, price was much cheaper than online. Staff was awesome. Tee boxes were a bit beat up. Fun course

WOW
It’s been a while since I have played this course and man has it gone down hill. Not speaking of the hills on the course. The sand trap sand is hard and full of rocks. Tee box greens are non existent on some holes, and the greens are in major rough shape. For the price we paid on golf now not worth the money at all. Try to avoid if you can, but if you must get the round for the right price.

18 holes…..2 hours & 10 minutes…..it doesn’t get any better than that!

Mature course
I played this course many times in my life, the last time was about 15 years ago. It appears that was the last time is was in good shape. The course began in 1926 and at the rate that it has declined it won't make 100 years. So sad since it is a fun layout. I won't go there again unless it is brought back to proper condition. The greens were ok, fairways were mostly weeds cut short. Tee boxes are just raised areas of grass not well cared for. Sand traps, I should have taken pictures. Most haven't had any sand added in a decade. Hard as concrete and loaded with weeds. Water hazards appeared to be turned into swamps for some purpose. It is an embarrassment to the Village of Bartlett Park District. Whomever is in charge of the course needs reeducation or the finances to bring it back unless they are planning to sell it off for more housing. Sad.
We apologize for the conditions of our course and thank you for bringing this to our attention. We had been short staffed for a quite a while, but now have a full grounds crew. We are working on all aspects of the course.

Needs a lot of upkeep
Dirt and dead patches of weeds are on every tee.
Lots of dried out patches on the fairways.
Dirt and rocks in the traps - not sand.
On the upside - a number of tight fairways offer some challenging shots. Nice contours on fairways and greens and the greens were in nice condition.
For the money, a decent experience.

Golfing….not Skiing!
We were the first group on course today. Played 18 holes in about 3 hours! The course isn’t in the greatest shape….but we’re not members of the PGA either! Had an enjoyable round today!

Owners and managers should be embarrassed!
It's obvious the owners put no effort into keeping this course nice. The fairways are burnt out, the tee boxes are either weed covered or down to dirt with NO grass on them and so hard that you can't get a tee in, there are many bunkers that are filled with weeds or filled with rocks, and many greens are burnt up with one green (#9) that has a miniature sand bunker that is forming on its own on the high side of the green! This course has been in the past (long past) and could be in the future a very nice course if somebody would start to take care of it properly! This course, in the shape it's in, isn't worth $20.

Needs work
Since the village bought the course a few years ago it has gotten worse each year. Grass is long, greens are just ok, Tee boxes chewed up and the bunkers are a joke. No sand and mostly dirt, just gravel in some of them. About as poor conditioned as you will find.

In terrible condition
What a disappointment. How can the village of Bartlett want to charge a premium to play that course. It’s been several years since I have played there. Was once a nice place. Thought The change in ownership would improve it. Either close it to renovate, or close it for good. Waste of money at any rate.
