About
Bartlett Hills Golf Club has been a favorite Chicagoland golf destination since it first opened in 1929. To keep the layout up to modern standards, it has undergone many changes over the years but it still has the same classic character. At 6,463 yards from the back tees, this traditional layout might not be long but it still provides a fair test. Rather than distance, the golf course demands smart play and accurate shot placement thanks to narrow, tree-lined fairways and several tricky doglegs. You might not have many chances to use your driver but you'll definitely get some iron practice. There isn't too much trouble off of the tees at Bartlett Hills G.C. But greenside you'll be faced with nearly 30 strategically placed bunkers and water hazards come into play on seven holes, which include some forced carries.

Amazing
Incredible layout but extremely challenging, especially approach shots into the greens. Would love to play this course in the summer when the leaves are present

Hidden Gem - tougher than it looks
Every so often, I get the chance to play Bartlett Hills. When I bring friends who haven't been there before, they all say the same thing following our round - "this course is more difficult than it looks." I always agree with them. Lots of trees, hills, fast and tricky greens, and tough bunkers. Multiple great tee shot opportunities where accuracy is critical. If you're above the hole, your next putt will likely not be slow (or straight). Elevated, undulating greens. Fairways are always in great condition. Nice range and practice area with bent grass tees. Great post-round bar with outdoor seating area, good food, and drinks. On top of all of this, you can almost always get on for a good price. This course always leaves you wanting to come back and take another shot.
Consistently greens
Course in good shape for late season and tree removal has de-fanged it a bit.

Bartlett Hills delivers a top-notch experience for the cost, especially with those greens. The occasional rogue divot kept it from perfection—but the value and playability shine through. Ideal for a casual day out or honing your game, I’d happily return. Next time, I’ll aim to dodge those 12th green scars and soak in more of that fall air.

Without a doubt the best greens our group has played all year. Country club conditions for a great price. Could not recommend enough.

The staff is always friendly and always make you feel like a member when you are not. Brenda is great at the clubhouse.
Perfect fall day on a great course
Hadn't played Bartlett Hills in a few years and forgot how nice it is. Our entire foursome thought it was the best course we played all year. It's a mature old style course with lots of trees, a couple of water hazards, and no homes intruding. Tees, fairways, bunkers, and greens were in great shape, The greens have a lot of slope and in perfect shape, but are lightning fast - it was almost impossible to keep the ball on the green for downhill putts. Large range and putting green are nice as is the beautiful clubhouse and bar. We'll be back.
Great time playing with our group of 4. Will definitely come back.
