I think this is a great course for beginners and seasoned players. It’s enough to keep you challenged but not hate the game. Good greens, great staff and reasonable pricing. Cheapest 9 holes with a cart in northwest burbs.
A master class in slow play
If you’ve ever dreamed of spending three hours playing nine holes, congratulations—you’ve found nirvana. This course gave me the rare opportunity to achieve inner peace while standing motionless on a tee box. Enlightenment via boredom.
The group ahead put on a dazzling display of how not to play golf. Multiple tee shots per hole, snowman scores written with the passion of calligraphy, and an unwavering commitment to replenishing the lake’s ball supply. I stopped counting at 50. Honestly, they had more whiffs than the 2024 White Sox, and unlike the Sox, these guys never made it off the field.
The rangers deserve a standing ovation for their “invisible observer” routine, while the beverage cart girl added comic relief by openly laughing at the absurdity of it all. Pure theater.
Some highlights for future visitors:
• Perfect course if you enjoy cloud-counting between shots.
• Ideal training ground for deep breathing exercises while someone tees up their fifth ball.
• Great spot to work on your patience, your posture, and maybe even your will to live.
• A must-play if you’ve always wanted to see how long geological time actually feels.
All in all, a groundbreaking experience. If you want real golf, go literally anywhere else. But if you want to test your sanity while watching others invent new ways to waste time, this place is five stars.
Bad tee boxes.
Fun little course. Tee boxes were in really rough shape and lumpy which made it hard to tee off. Staff was very friendly and the price is good value. I would only play here again if it was the only place available for me to get a quick round in.
pricey
other groups in front of us paid half price vs us. Not a good value vs us.
Great rime
My grandson and I had a great time as the staff was helpful and friendly and the course was in fantastic condition. Pace of play was just right
Good value, worth your time
Ive played Streamwood Oaks a few times now, and I have to commend the staff. They are consistently very helpful and friendly. The course is in decent shape, and the layout is challenging, but not overwhelming. My only gripe is the lack of rangers, and pace of play is inconsistent. I’ve been stuck behind some very slow players. While trying to play through, they look at me appearing offended. My assumption is pace of play isn’t enforced very often. Regardless of that, it’s still a decent spot. I enjoy Streamwood Oaks, and its value is reasonable. I recommend it.
great 9 hole course
Only complaint would be tee boxes on a few holes were too uneven, but pace of play was great, course was fun. Greens were good
