Bloomingdale Golf Club

There were many areas just off the green with no grass. It was challenging hitting off dirt but not ideal conditions. You get punished from a slightly stray shot.

It was great to be able to get out and play in the Chicago area over the Thanksgiving weekend. Per the starter, they kept the course open for one more day because of the warm weather. Overall, the conditions were great given the time of year. As for the course, Bloomingdale is an old classic course design with rolling fairways and minimal distance between holes. The fairways can be very narrow on some holes and there are a fair amount of large trees on the course. This course seems like it would be a fun challenge during the summer when leaves are on the trees. The clubhouse is very nice and modern with great facilities. Overall I enjoyed my experience at Bloomingdale and will come back.

First time at course, and it was in remarkably good shape. Greens were a bit off but it was 11/20! Will play again and will recommend.

First of all, the weather was perfect -- sunny, warm and very little wind. We played in less than four hours and all of us had good scores. Always enjoy playing this course.

For the price it was a nice place to play. Little shorter than the normal courses I play, but the mature trees they have lining most of the course definantly provided some difficultly

It has a nice challenging layout. There is plenty of bunkers in the fairway and around the greens. We had the first tee time it took us 3:15 to play. We will definitely be back to play.

Late Saturday afternoon, we played this course for the first time . Reviews of golfnow showed this as a course in great condition. A lot of torn up conditions is what we found. Layout is good and course is average challenge. I would play again with a good golfnow deal. Not worth full price.

Played early in the morning so no pace issues. Greens were quick and small. Would play again.

I've played many scrambles on this course and always have a good time. This was my second time playing a complete round. The course is tough but fair. Not much water or too much trouble. Greens are true and a little fast. Personnel are friendly and accommodating. Over all, for the cost, a great value. We'll be back.

This course aggravates the heck out of me. I have 2 major beefs about this place. 1..sand traps are not filled with sand. They're filled with dirt. Nearly impossible to hit out of. 2...even worse than dirt traps is, on multiple holes they don't carry the fairway all the way to the green. For some stupid reason they stop the short grass/fairway at a certain point and the leave long grass up to 10-20 yards from the green. Basically I'm being penalized for hitting a 300 yard drive right down the middle on multiple par 4s and 5s and then wind up in the long grass cuz the short grass stopped. I have absolutely no idea why....with that being said I still play twilight here 2-3 times a year cuz they do have a decent twilight rate and it's close to my house. I would never, ever play weekend golf here for full price. Never....
