Buddies golf
My buddies and I golf every other week together. We hadn’t been to Arboretum Club since before Covid. One buddy has never played the course. We had so much fun. The majority of our group golf etiquette hacks. We would certainly play it again. Thought he greens weren’t lightening fast, they are definitely faster than the local courses around that area and especially Glenview

Golf cart died and took 3 phone calls and 40 minutes for them to bring a new one
Terrible experience, our cart died on the 12th hole and it took 3 phone calls to the clubhouse and 40 minutes for them to bring us a new cart. We were unable to keep playing since my husbands golf bag doesn’t have a kick stand is made for a walking or riding cart, not made to be carried. The person at the clubhouse even hung up on me the second time we called asking if someone was coming with a new cart. We ended up driving back to the clubhouse when they finally brought a new cart and left without finishing. We had fallen behind so much and had the 2 slowest groups in front of us. Very disappointing experience.

Great course
Overall Arboretum is a fun course to play. It does have a few holes where you need to target a certain area then hit to the green. Overall, OB left and water to the right. It is challenging overall yet very fair. If you want a course that's easy and you can hit it anywhere, this is not the course. Greens are nice and true, with some but not too much undulation. They also now have an indoor range with six hitting stations that is excellent for warming up; very reasonable.

Not easy, but a pleasure to play
Course is tough, largely due to the water hazards, but in greaat shape, as usual. Staff was very friendly on course, in club house, and in bar/restaurant.

Good course for the money.
Everything went well except the cart was dying and except for calling the club house for relief there was no choice. It was getting late also so we continued playing.
1) I’m surprised they don’t charge their carts every day or so to keep up with the demand.
2) The score card does NOT have the course and hole layout just like most other courses which is a HUGE drawback and a negative!!!
As good a course this used to be it’s nowhere close to being in a tiptop shape. Doesn’t need a lot to be fixed to make it a very desirable course. These are some quick fixes that can take care of the shortcomings.

Three hour round (twosome) at a leisurely and enjoyable pace.
Let’s go from green to tee… greens pretty slow and it seems like no one that plays here understands how to repair ball marks. True rolls and the complex’s are large with plenty of slope to keep it interesting. Fairways look fairly tight off the tee, but have generous landing areas. Again, lots of big divots and lots of players not filling them with seed. Tee boxes pretty level with a few that could use a good roll. Lots of possible positions that can really change the look off the tee. Overall, an excellent job by the crew at The Arboretum. See you all again soon!

I should have known better…..
5 hour round minimum every time here. I am pretty sure they redid the course in the past two years. Don’t worry it’s worse than before. Might as well leave your driver at home. Gimmicky target gold. I was enticed by a hot deal for $19 and still feel it was a waste of my time. Play somewhere else.

Nice course and good value
Played the course twice this weekend. For the price it is above average - interesting terrain, challenging layout, good greens with undulations, and they were rolling consistently around 9/10 or so. Many holes require strategic tee shots, less than driver from the blue tees, and there is lots of water. Pace of play was great and the staff is very friendly.

I enjoy the Arboretum Golf Course!
Started playing there a few years ago and it’s gotten better and better. There are water hazards on all except 2 holes, and a few of the holes are narrow, but I have to say playing there is a lot of fun. This course has made me a better golfer, and I’ve met some really great people there. Both golfers and staff! It’s saying something for me when I say I think about this course several times a week! Check it out.
