Buffalo Grove Golf Course
About
Buffalo Grove Golf Club is an 18-hole municipal course that offers an enjoyable round for players of all skill levels. The gently rolling terrain is covered with mature trees and wetlands, all of which provide challenges on the course. In addition to the natural hazards, there are a few strategically placed bunkers lurking throughout. Accuracy will be helpful when maneuvering the tree-lined fairways but it's not a terribly punishing golf course. There are a few tricky spots, but overall it's a forgiving and player-friendly layout. It's ideal for beginners and also good for a quick and casual round for any skill level. The golf course's affordability is another appealing aspect of the course. Buffalo Grove G.C. also offers a practice facility with a 25-station driving range and pitching and chipping greens.

Nice course, very nice condition
Course was in very good shape. Golfing during the week is a quick pace and enjoyable and for 20 bucks we paid on golf now, a steal.
A very sensible course for all levels.
The pace of play was outstanding, nothing like weekday golf. We had heavy rains the day before so although there was a little standing water in several traps the course was in perfect condition. Although longer at the whites than we usually play, Buffalo Grove is really appropriate and challenging for both the beginner and more experienced golfers. The pro-shop staff, starter, and rangers were all very friendly and kept us informed of the status around us the entire round. It was one of the more enjoyable rounds I've had this summer.
So -so course
For the price they charge, they are stealing money from you. The course doesnt have completed cartpaths, nor are the tee boxes kept up. The greens are semi decent, but go from small 15 ft wide greens to 30 ft. very deceptive..... You can literally drive your cart on the greens since there are no markings on where to drive the carts since there are only grass pathways half of the course... Overall, i would not go back till they lower rates or update facility
Average conditions, but a nice layout
blue grass tees and fairways means both can be pretty hairy by Sunday tee times. Pace can be slow but my round was done in 4:15, not bad. Currently quite a bit of clover in some fairways. Layout is quite good and most holes allow for some spraying. Greens vary in size from massive to postage stamp but are appropriate to the hole layout. (Small greens on par 5s and large greens on long par 3s and 4s.). For a 10 to 25 handicapper, I think you will have a great time. For a lower handicapper, some of the fairways and tee box grass height will be annoying.
Nice course for the money
I find it a nice challenge but not overwhelming. Staff is very friendly.
Good!!!!
There is good course.
I just say good!!
If you try to play golf, you must go to this course.
Seen better
The course has a great layout, challenging for a woman like myself. We felt the course could have been in better shape, considering all the rain we've had recently. The g round in spots was as hard as a rock. The tee boxes were all a mess, tees everywhere, like no one ever cleans them. The fairways were in good shape, but if you went off of them, not so great. Lots of dead spots, either no grass or very thick grass. For the money, I've played much better courses.
Fun playing with friends
Course is excellent. Some Had fun playing until
12 holes. Started hard raining, had to stop plying.
Great Golf course
we are playing at this course three times a year. Every time we play, we always have great time.
Good established old course with large mature trees
Greens were in good shape, the rough was a little shaggy .Overall the course was in good condition.
nice course
Course was in great shape. Play was pretty quick. Well worth the price
Course condition
The course is in great shape. The water holes are very challenging.
good value
The greens were in good shape, the sand traps thoughtfully placed and very playable and it's 6800 yds from the tips, all selling points for a moderately priced course. Pretty early in the season (April 15) but we played in under 4 hrs. Last fall, same thing.
Decent bar and patio and $20 bucks on golfnow. ...No complaints.
great greens
Great value for fall golf..greens in great shape. .some holes are a little gimmickie.
Buffalo Grove
Great conditions/course layout is great !! Would paly again.
Buffalo Grove
Had load of FUN, great staff, curse in perfect condition. Hope we can play again this year.
pace of place
Course was pretty good considering the resent rain. Got behind a mini outing of 3 groups and was on pace for a six hour round. Quit after 13holes and 4plus hours. On the way in found 16, 17, and18 holes with no on them. The marshal was not to be found.
This is a nice course with some challenging holes
The course has a very poor drainage system. It's extremely wet after significant rain prior to playing. When it's dry its a decent course with a lot of mature trees
