About
Buffalo Grove Golf Club is an 18-hole municipal course that offers an enjoyable round for players of all skill levels. The gently rolling terrain is covered with mature trees and wetlands, all of which provide challenges on the course. In addition to the natural hazards, there are a few strategically placed bunkers lurking throughout. Accuracy will be helpful when maneuvering the tree-lined fairways but it's not a terribly punishing golf course. There are a few tricky spots, but overall it's a forgiving and player-friendly layout. It's ideal for beginners and also good for a quick and casual round for any skill level. The golf course's affordability is another appealing aspect of the course. Buffalo Grove G.C. also offers a practice facility with a 25-station driving range and pitching and chipping greens.

very accomidating
I was running late for my tee time. They asked me when I would make it there. They set me up with a tee time for an hour later. That was perfect. Thanks Buffalo Grove Golf Club.
Ken and Tori's service Excellent
Tori bent over backwards to accommodate us! She was wonderful! And Ken helped make out round more fun for my 16 year olds, and finding balls for us when we almost ran out! He made our day a success! Thank you!

Course Was tough today as length played in ground soft after recent rains and played tough. Greens a little bumpy early spring and after being aerified. Normal for this time of year. I Still made several one putts and a birdie. Will play here again several times this year.
Unusually warm weather for Chicago area in February. As expected the course was brown, and not all facilities or amenities (i.e. restaurant, ball washers, etc.) were available as in summer. In spite of this, the course was in reasonably good condition.
This Course has a nice Variety
This is one of my favorite courses that I make extra long drive to get to. It is always taken good care of and the greens are usually in very good shape. It has a nice mix of holes, not much water and is an fairly open course for errand shots. A couple of the par 5's can be a challenge especially with the small greens, placement is important. If you're a long ball hitter play the blue tees. On most holes a drive of 230-250 will give you a nice approach shot. The staff at the course is always friendly and helpful and do a good job in managing the pace of play.

nice course to play mid week when every one is at work
Sandbox
We were approaching the first green and it looked like the grass was dead. Upon reaching the green, we saw that it was covered in sand. When we booked the round, they never stated that there was work being done on the greens. Still charged full price, at $45, when this time of the year you can play almost anywhere for around $30. So putting was to say the least, troublesome at best. Around the 11th hole they had groomed the sand off but the broom roughed up all the grass so it was standing up and torn. Another putting nightmare. I would say that the course should have informed golfers that the greens were barely playable and offered a discounted round or at least a chance to cancel the reservation based on such information. Probably won't be going back.
Best value golfing
Great course to have a good time
The course to good
To many bogie in my snowcard lol
Midday round good deal
Course was in good shape, rough was high due to the recent rain, hard to find balls.
Overall good park district course for the money
Buffalo Grove Golf
The course is in good shape. The fairways are well kept. There are a few areas under repair and well marked. The sand traps are cleaned and raked. The greens are cut and are fast. The pin placement made some holes a challenge. The starter and ranger kept the play moving. The course was worth the price.
decent course but holes to close to each other
The course was fine and the day was perfect. It was not an unreasonable time to play. Online rate was very good. Dd not like the proximity of the holes to each other and people from other holes playing on our holes
Nice muni
Excellent muni. One of the best conditioned municipal courses I've played.
Average Old Course
I played this course regularly back around 1980.The layout hasn't changed one bit, although the trees are taller.Bluegrass fairways.Decent greens.Fairly flat and easy to walk.Really could use a renovation.
Vastly improved
Boy have they improved this course! Greens, bunkers are in excellent condition. Everything looks better. Tee boxes and fairways also in better shape. A great value. I would advise anyone who hasn't played here for a while to come back.
Nice course, very nice condition
Course was in very good shape. Golfing during the week is a quick pace and enjoyable and for 20 bucks we paid on golf now, a steal.
GBGC is one of the worst, least maintained, overpriced golf course in the area. You can play Glenview GC, Sunset Valley GC, and so many more for $45. Don't waste you money on this course. I would never recommend this course to anyone.
