Buffalo Grove Golf Course
About
Buffalo Grove Golf Club is an 18-hole municipal course that offers an enjoyable round for players of all skill levels. The gently rolling terrain is covered with mature trees and wetlands, all of which provide challenges on the course. In addition to the natural hazards, there are a few strategically placed bunkers lurking throughout. Accuracy will be helpful when maneuvering the tree-lined fairways but it's not a terribly punishing golf course. There are a few tricky spots, but overall it's a forgiving and player-friendly layout. It's ideal for beginners and also good for a quick and casual round for any skill level. The golf course's affordability is another appealing aspect of the course. Buffalo Grove G.C. also offers a practice facility with a 25-station driving range and pitching and chipping greens.

Good course for senior and women. Course is flat good for walking.
Average conditioned course. Wonderful for senior and women player for walking.
beautiful course
Would've been better if the ranger put his 2 cents in once in a while. 18 took almost 5hrs and it was a Monday and not crowded.
Over crowded
The golf course was in pretty good condition. The play of the golf course though was what killed the experience. The course was packed, tee times were right on top of each other and the pace of play was terribly slow.
Great Course, Great Value
Went there on a Sat around 10am ... the pace was great for a Sat., the course was in great shape, the greens were a bit slow but it had rained heavily the night before so that's understandable.
Would Highly recommend this course. Also the range has grass on the tee boxes which was great to hit from before starting the round. Would go back in a heart beat!!
Paid for 18 holes. Got rained out after 2 1/2 hours and only 6 holes of play.
There was no ranger on the course to speed up play. The group in front of us was more than 2 holes behind. They refused to give us a rain check as they said our tee time payment qualified us as a twilight rate and there is no rain policy on this rate. I would not recommend this course to anyone.
Nothing Special
Conditions were fair at best. Greens were slow, sand in bunkers very heavy. Pace was acceptable on front nine while more challenging back nine took nearly 3 hours with not a ranger in sight.
Layout is okay and fairly challenging. Problem is the course attracts a lot of less skilled players and that results in bottlenecks on tougher holes.
Very enjoyable
Traditional midwestern course with tree lined fairways and plenty of doglegs.
challenging+well maintained for a municipal course
I arrived a bit late for my tee time but the staff at the (quite small) proshop was courteous and helpful. I wanted to have a quick practice range session beforehand but didn''t manage to squeeze one in so I did not have a chance to check out the range..
As far as the course is concerned it was fairly well maintained being peak summer conditions I was expecting it to be in worse shape. It was fairly challenging and a plethora of dog legs awaits you. Greens were terribly slow but in good shape nonetheless. Fairways were extremely narrow so a range session before hand is recommended. The rough is challenging to say the least so keep it straight and simple is a good approach.
As far as the course is concerned its playable and fun if you remember to keep it simple. It however lacks that feeling of solace usually accompanied with golf. No matter which hole you are on reminders of modern civilization are nearby. Houses, roads and businesses line the outskirts of the course hindering any peace or mental detachment from day-day life. Which is one of the main reasons I play.
I would recommend this course to others as it does offer a fair challenge and you can get great discounts non it. As for paying full price I would pass and venture elsewhere.
Well established, mature course.
Not a very long course, but has plenty of mature trees lining it. Most of the fairways are wide, but there are a few that are narrow and require a more precise drive off the tee. Very nice bar/restaurant on site for a cool drink and a sandwich at the turn or afterward.
staff was great
the weather was 98 degrees outside the course had rangers following the golfers with cold water
A good Challenge for a Municipal Course
Well maintained in spite of recent flooding> only time i have played a course where the starter urged you to stay out of the rough. Greens were tricky with some running fast and some very slow.
Challenging course, fair price.
I've played this course many times, the course is in fairly good shape. The greens can be challenging to hit in regulation because of their size. Staff is friendly and the pace of play is adequate.
Was a bargain price on Golf Now but slow play diminished the experience/
Very slow play for a weekday. Fairway was long. Greens were okay to a bit slow. Lots of rain recently might have something to do with it. Tee boxes were a bit rough. Still a good deal for the Golf Now price. Wouldn't pay full price to play here.
A good weekday outing
This course is a nice change of pace. It's not super long, but has many elements designed to challenge your game. The greens are fair, though someone needs to explain ball mark repair to their normal constituency.
The range and putting green are fantastic. My only complaint is that they shoved too many lanes too close together on the range.
$45/ inc. cart was a little steep for a late morning weekday, but I suppose they are busy enough to justify the cost. I'll play here on occasion, but it certainly won't be a regular in my rotation.
Everything lived up to expectations.
Nice and quick round. Good service and friendly staff. Course was in decent shape. I would tell others to try it!
Nice Facility
Nice Driving range and practice greens. The course was well maintained. The greens were slow but fair. this seems to be a popular course so the pace of play was slow.
The staff was friendly and the bar/Restaurant was very inviting. I particularly liked the outside patio bar.
This course is an above-average public course.
Was in good shape despite unfavorable weather this spring. We will come back.
This course is challenging.
This course has many bunkers and lakes which are challenging and enjoyable. This course is the one of the best in the areas where I live. I strongly recommend this course to all.
