Buffalo Grove Golf Course
About
Buffalo Grove Golf Club is an 18-hole municipal course that offers an enjoyable round for players of all skill levels. The gently rolling terrain is covered with mature trees and wetlands, all of which provide challenges on the course. In addition to the natural hazards, there are a few strategically placed bunkers lurking throughout. Accuracy will be helpful when maneuvering the tree-lined fairways but it's not a terribly punishing golf course. There are a few tricky spots, but overall it's a forgiving and player-friendly layout. It's ideal for beginners and also good for a quick and casual round for any skill level. The golf course's affordability is another appealing aspect of the course. Buffalo Grove G.C. also offers a practice facility with a 25-station driving range and pitching and chipping greens.

Good established old course with large mature trees
Greens were in good shape, the rough was a little shaggy .Overall the course was in good condition.
nice course
Course was in great shape. Play was pretty quick. Well worth the price
Course condition
The course is in great shape. The water holes are very challenging.
good value
The greens were in good shape, the sand traps thoughtfully placed and very playable and it's 6800 yds from the tips, all selling points for a moderately priced course. Pretty early in the season (April 15) but we played in under 4 hrs. Last fall, same thing.
Decent bar and patio and $20 bucks on golfnow. ...No complaints.
great greens
Great value for fall golf..greens in great shape. .some holes are a little gimmickie.
Buffalo Grove
Great conditions/course layout is great !! Would paly again.
Buffalo Grove
Had load of FUN, great staff, curse in perfect condition. Hope we can play again this year.
pace of place
Course was pretty good considering the resent rain. Got behind a mini outing of 3 groups and was on pace for a six hour round. Quit after 13holes and 4plus hours. On the way in found 16, 17, and18 holes with no on them. The marshal was not to be found.
This is a nice course with some challenging holes
The course has a very poor drainage system. It's extremely wet after significant rain prior to playing. When it's dry its a decent course with a lot of mature trees
Bring a Leaf Blower
Okay, it's only mid-September but the carnivious trees are shedding their leaves and ain't that a hazard all golfers face in the Fall season in the Midwest?? Greens in great shape (relatively speaking) and aside from errant shots....it's a fun course.
Birth Day weekend
Meet Nice Gentleman as the starter, he was very friendly.
Marshall came out and asked us to return to club house because of a storm on its was at the 13 hold. Had to quit and just made it back before the storm hit. We got soaked returning the cart after unloading our clubs. Hope to play again some day, but don't know when since I live a couple hours away from this location.
Little Value
The tee boxes were extremely hard. The fairway turf was more like the rough should be.
Honest golf course.
First the bad news....we were teed off behind four groups of octogenarians walking the front 9. It took three hours to make it to the turn. All my respect goes to those who endured the World War and fought for our freedom.
The good news....the course is in great shape. The greens are a bit slow ( not a bad thing) for those used to pool table greens. Smack the ball with a putter to get there or put on a skirt. Sorry ladies.
Course was very good..
Fair test especially from the back tees. Found course in excellent condition discounting playing soft though from torential rains 36 hours before. Sand traps were still moist heavy.
This course was well maintained
I think the course conditions have improved since 1 year ago. The greens were great , in fact every detail of the course was what you would want to play in. Except for the trees getting in my way, I loved it. The only negative thing for me was there was not cart service on the course and a pretty hot day. Our t-time was 2:00p.m. at the heat of the day! We were able to get a bag of ice from the bar before we started which did help!
Nice track
I played this for the first time. Course was in good condition. The track is nice with some challenging holes. The only comment I have is the majority of people playing walked while I reserved for riding. It would have been nice if I was told when I checked in I would be playing with three walkers then I would have walked myself. Otherwise I enjoyed the day and the course.
Pleasant Place to play
This was the third round we played and find the course conditions to be consistent. Good practice facilities, outstanding, friendly and helpful staff. The bar and food afterward was very good. Course plays 6400 yard from the white tees so you do need to keep the ball in front of you. Course is fair. Have yet to go longer than 4 hours for a round.
Average Park Dist Course
Typical park district course, the round was nothing special. The course was in decent enough shape with the typical muni issues; ball marks on greens, fairway divots, loud foursomes & occasionally getting hit into.
The bar area on the clubhouse is very nice, but the staff (bartender Sharron specifically) seemed disinterested in servicing.
A challenging and fun course.
All aspects of the course from the staff to the conditions of the course were excellent.
