Buffalo Grove Golf Course
About
Buffalo Grove Golf Club is an 18-hole municipal course that offers an enjoyable round for players of all skill levels. The gently rolling terrain is covered with mature trees and wetlands, all of which provide challenges on the course. In addition to the natural hazards, there are a few strategically placed bunkers lurking throughout. Accuracy will be helpful when maneuvering the tree-lined fairways but it's not a terribly punishing golf course. There are a few tricky spots, but overall it's a forgiving and player-friendly layout. It's ideal for beginners and also good for a quick and casual round for any skill level. The golf course's affordability is another appealing aspect of the course. Buffalo Grove G.C. also offers a practice facility with a 25-station driving range and pitching and chipping greens.

BG course
I’ve played this course about 4-5 times in last 5 years. The staff is very nice and witty and I was able to get in a walking foursome due to the starters quick thinking and ability to pair up people on the fly!
We were told prior that the Greenes were being sanded and. Groomed which made putting challenging.
The course played slow for the front nine due to a ladies league and my playing partners quit after 9. I played by myself on the back and found hole 10 and 14 the hardest. 10 you must be done middle, middle left otherwise you have no shot at par… on 14 I got confused which green to shoot at as they are side by side with another green … nor did I see the creek in front of me.
18 is equally challenging if you find yourself in the right side
Of the course… no shot! There is a tree that takes your entire green away from playing on.. sucks! Automatic bogey
Best golf course so far
I am a beginner and has been out to play on the golf course for about a few months, but Buffalo Grove golf course is my favorite. The condition is great, and layout is fun to play. Staff members are very kind. Definitely this is my go to gold course. But hard to schedule I'm the morning since it seems very popular place.
Value for time and cost
Pace of play is great, tee time cost is fair, staff is friendly. Will play again.
Reliably good
Course is always a solid outing.
-no beverages cart seen, would have been nice.
Will be back
.
Nice course, green in excellent condition and faieays also great. Course is tough but fair for all levels of golfers
You can find much better nearby
Played Memorial Day weekend and rough was thin and dry despite the rainfall we’ve been getting. There were sticks leaves and cotton from the trees littered everywhere making finding your ball a pain. You’d think they would clean it up for one of the bigger golf weekends of the year! The fairways are quite narrow with large fairway bunkers on every hole and the greens are the size of a residential driveway albiet in good condition (not very fast). While the slope rating makes it one of the easiest in the area, the course played long and felt as though it dragged. The back 9 was completely backed up with no rangers in sight. I was thoroughly disappointed considering down the street for marginally more gets you Chevy Chase, one of the nicest public courses in the north shore. Wont be returning and if you are paying more than $45 or live more than a $15 minute drive I’d stay away.
One of the top North suburban courses
Friendly help. Called me to inform me that I left my cap in cart! Challenging layout w/o trees being too tight. Greens are chopped up early in season. Excellent value. . To my knowledge, one of 3 best public courses in the northern suburbs .Everyone knows this so can be busy which slows down play.
Course was in good condition. Greens were a little fast but in very good shape. There were a few tee boxes that were being repaired/closed and there was no clear signs directing you to the temporary tee box. Overall the round was still enjoyable.
