Tee boxes and Greens
Very disappointed with the upkeep of the course in general. The tee boxes had several gouges making it difficult to get a good stance. The fairways were not cut short. Lastly the greens had many dead patches. Hopefully, the Forest Preserves will receive financial support from Cook county administrators to help this location like George Dune.
Not impressed
For the price this course is not worth playing for $48
I only played due to the special price of $25. Course is in horrible conditions. You can’t tell fairway from rough. Greens had a lot of bad spots or full of debris. Seems to have the bare minimum up keep.
Course needs major attention
I like the layout of this course and the fact that it is completely secluded within a forest is kind of neat. HOWEVER, they do not take care of this course...I played on a Sunday morning, and **the fairway was not mowed**. The fairway grass was the same height as the rough! Greens are in poor condition as well. This course needs a cash infusion and a superintendent who knows what he/she is doing, and this course could be pretty good. But until then, I would avoid unless you have no other options.
Great Casual Course
Had a great time at Burnham Woods! The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout the day. While the course conditions weren’t perfect, it didn’t take away from the experience, still an incredibly fun and relaxed round. Perfect for a casual day out. Will definitely be back!
So much potential
The course needs new management or something. not taken care of, fairways are not mowed, bunkers bad, tee boxes bad. maintenance just seems nonexistent
First time in a long time.
Went out solo for a quick 18 hole game. Forgot how nice the course was. Wasn’t as tight as I remember.
Burnham Woods
The pace of play was great and for the price, it’s a solid course. My biggest critique is that the greens are as small as you can make them.
