This is my go to place. between home and work.
Great facility with green and chipping practice area. Staff is always friendly.
Despite being in the city, this is one of the best place to go to. Greens are always in great shape. Fairways can be pretty wet at times but the course offers a decent variety of challenges.
The only piece missing would be very long holes but still, 1, 4,5 and 9 requires solid driving skills.
Great 9 hole course. Great place to learn. Friendly staff. Inside bathrooms need to be redone.

Course is challenging just not that long. Great design and staff. New app and carts are great.

Solid, cheap, city course
Course is well maintained especially compared to other park district courses. I would recommend walking as it keeps it cheap and the course is pretty short. Great place for a quick 9.
Solid design, great value!
A really fun city course at a great price. Nice doglegs, solid greens with fun hole placement. Rough was brutal but given the rain we had the last few weeks, I’ll cut some slack. Will be back.
Would be a decent deal if you walk. Made the mistake of adding a cart which doubled the price for 2 golfing. Amenities were poor. Pace of play was very slow. Course was extremely forgiving, no water traps but plenty of sand. With all of the great courses available in the Chicago area will not be going back here.
Beautiful day of golf
Second time playing course. First time was very wet but since we had no rain the course was good. After checking in the staff told us that the greens were aerated. We asked for any consideration... a pull cart anything. He was steadfast no. The greens were unputtable. At least the weather was finally warm to golf
Casper continues to offer value at CPD courses
Even tho there was a crowd on the course..play moved ok...course is in good shape this late in season.
Good First-time golfer golfcourse
Being a novice golfer, I was looking for an addordable, casual golf experience to determine my interest in the sport. Robert A Black golf course was exactly that. Cart rates, green fees, tees/balls, all at acceptable prices. Will definitely reserve again, once I get some range time.
Quick nine after work
Nice little city course for getting in a quick weekday round after work. The course condition is very good for a muni, although the traps are so bad, we either rake and place the ball or take a free drop out of the trap completely.

Solid City Option
Excellent deal with Chicago Discount Card. Pace was good considering Sunday morning, Father's Day. Played at around 2 hrs 830-1030 (tee times ran 20 min behind).
The sand is nearly unplayable and completely filled with rocks. Avoid it though, and you've got a good deal.
Putting and pitching areas for warm up - welcomed, as not present at Marovitz.

Best of the city courses
Great course for cheap. Course is well maintained and rate of play is fast unless it's midday on a nice.Saturday. surprisingly challenging at times
Nice course very expensive
Nice challenging course w tree lined fairways & challenging pin placements but it was $63 for a pair to golf 9 holes w cart
