Robert A. Black Golf Club

For the price, accessibility, and course quality, I'm not sure you can beat Robert Black in Chicago. It's a short drive via its location and plays fairly quick. In fact, you'll likely get done and want to play it again. Amenities are fairly non-existent (don't expect beer carts) and the course isn't quite as nice as thoughs in the suburbs, but I can't find a reason to complain given I can sneak in 9 here almost anytime I would like for very cheap. I also would note, compared to Sydney and other courses, the quality of clientele is much better here if you get paired. Very kind staff as well.

Easy and quick round of golf. For a city course it’s well maintained even with so much rain. Good course for beginners.

Sure you can go drive a distance and find an 18 hole course but when you want to get a quick round in and quality round - Swing by Black and enjoy!!

The greens were in great shape as were the fairways

We had a very nice time. Course was in good condition.

Played the course relatively fast and was on the Tee for the 9th hole and the starter came up to us at 8 pm and said we had to stop. Sun was still blatantly out with the last hole going directly to the pro shop. For people walking the golf course this was very annoying especially when the ranger just says “ no you’re good” when asked if we can just finished the hole. Proceeded to drive slowly next to us and stare at us while we walk back to our vehicles.

The staff was just rude and I will never golf here again
