Klein Creek Golf Club

About
Klein Creek Golf Club sprawls across acres of rolling prairieland in the western suburbs of Chicago. Trees frame the layout's gentle doglegs and tall prairie grasses border the fairways. It is a golf course that offers both beautiful scenery and a challenging round. Several lakes also dot the landscape, coming into play on almost every hole. The abundant water hazards are often coupled with spacious, intricately designed bunkers that are also usually paired with wood retaining walls. Contoured mounding frames the fairways and greens as well. Klein Creek Golf Club's layout is not easy by any means but it's fair, offering room for error on even the tougher holes with wide fairways and generous landing areas. There are a variety of approach options for the greens as well, providing great risk-reward opportunities.

Good Course But Others Offer More Valu
Course is improved from a few years ago but $84, others courses more value for the money.
True Challenge!
This is my home course. It has improved so much over the last few years. This course is certainly for the better player, you have to hit golf shots to have a chance here.
The layout is really great, but you need to be able to play different shot shapes, or you’ll get torn up here!
A beautiful day for golf
This was my first round at Klein Creek and I will definitely come back. Although the course beat me today I found the layout to be attractive, challenging, fair and beautiful to play. The course is in great condition and the greens are fair and fast. Only issue I had was the lack of drinking water on the course, no ball washers or divot sand for repairs. Bring your A game if you plan to score because you’ll need it.
Good shape
We played on a Sunday morning, right after a very heavy rain. The tees and greens drained quite well, not showing effects of the rain. There were squishy places on the fairways, but they were in good shape too. Pace of play was good and staff were friendly.
Tough course
You need a cart; the holes are far apart. But this is not a course for everyone. The traps are very deep and hard to get in and out of. Walking from your cart to the green can be difficult because of the steep hills. There are traps and water everywhere. Oh, and you have to be able to lug your heavy golf bag up and down steep stairs from the parking lot to the cart area below. You should be playing well or you won't enjoy this course. I was not and I am getting older so that's why I am criticizing it.
Great layout but…
Garbage baskets were overflowing on most tee boxes. There was no water at any hole. Most of the traps were unrated and had limited amounts of sand
Hot Deal great value
Klein has been changed to make it more playable they need to finish the job still some GIR spots. Greens were the slowest I've seen there in 30 years again adding to playability. I guess or they needed to be cut. Still a great track
Great well maintained course
Great course with some fun doglegs. Course is always in 5-star condition.
Good course for the money
Overall very nice course, tee boxes, fairways in great condition and Improving sand traps. Definitely would play again and recommend. Starter was great and discussed the old times back in the 60’s on the Southside!
The greens were slow, and bunkering was not consistent
Course layout was fantastic. There were either bunkers or waste areas not sure which that were basically unplayable. The green speed was also pretty slow. The staff is outstanding.
