They were open!
I was very appreciative that the iron oaks folks were open. They probably shouldn’t of been. But, I had fun. The people were great. They seemed happy to be open, thanks guys.
Very accommodating
Great Staff squeezed us in on a very busy day on short notice.
They know how to do winter golf
Staff was friendly and course was in immaculate shape for late November. You can tell this isn’t their first rodeo and they know how to do winter golf. Finished 18 holes in 3 hours after being paired with a two some. Everyone was super friendly including rangers who were out ensuring good pace of play. For the price this is as good of a value in the area. I will be back!
South side gem
The course was in good shape, the greens were a little slow, and the fairways were a little soggy. Also, there was an outing, and play was a little slow.
Lincoln Oaks
Pace of play was OK the let guys go out in fivesomees but we were able just to skip them. Not bad for November golf. The leaves were pretty much picked up great Job
Fix the pace
Only problem I ever have here is pace of play is horribly slow!! I paid for 18 holes riding with a 1230 tee time. Had to call it at the turn as it was after 3pm and I actually started a few minutes before 1230. On pace for well over 5 hours to play 18 is ridiculous. I love the course itself but they've got to figure out pacing. Three visits here and every single one has taken forever. I've reviewed the course before, I love the course and the layout and drive almost 45 minutes to play here, but not sure I'll continue of they can't figure out how to handle pace of play.
The staff was great , great layout well worth the money
Better course management
I enjoy Lincoln Oaks. Nice course, nice layout, friendly staff. They also run some great Hot Deals! Only issue is pace of play is BRUTAL. Takes WAY TOO LONG to play 18 because there's no marshall keeping an eye on it. People at this course are horrible about keeping faster players play through and the clubhouse gives priority to leagues at the turn. It took nearly forty minutes to make the turn. Unacceptable. Love the course and price though so I'll be back.
Fun course, pace problems
I've played here a couple times now. I like the course, good challenges, fun to play. However, both times I've played pace of play has been an issue. They have a marshall who manages the starts but then nobody monitor pace anywhere else and it's a problem. My last outing I took someone who had never played this course and hyped up the course but then we watched as groups literally shouted obscenities at each other, threatened violence and nothing was done. The entire argument and near altercation was about pace of play. If they can get a grip on pace this course would easily be my favorite even though it's a good forty plus minute drive for me. But pace is absolutely a problem.
Last time I played there, they mixed public and league and they let league players go in front of public at the turn. I waited FORTY MINUTES to make the turn because three foursomes were given a green light ahead of me. There's no excuse for that.
Nice public course
This is a nice public course, good for a practice round. The staff was very nice and the course was in decent condition for a public course. I thought it was a good value for the price. The course is normally very crowded and it takes over 4.5 hours to play. Lots of leagues and outings.
Rained out
Couldn't finish my round due to rain. Course is always in good shape.
Great track in the far south suburbs
I have played a few courses in this area , but this was the gem of far south suburbs . Rolling terrain , nicely cut fairways , rough cut to give you a fair shot out of , and the greens , small and sloped , but cut and rolled well.
Most funniest!
Always enjoy this course. Never too busy at the time we go.
Nice Course - Slow Pace
Course has a nice layout and kept up well...pace of play was bad. Teaching kids during peak play time shouldn’t be allowed. Starter was MIA
