Needs work
Over all, the course was in decent shape. Greens were a little patchy in spots. Some fairways were in need of work. Still a good course for the money .
Great course, bad conditions
First off, I play this course 4 to 6 times a year, usually May or after. It is always in great shape, I just made a tee time after 2 days of on and off rain, so it made this course spongy. Greens are in great condition despite aforementioned rain.
Good course overall
It was a good day even with another event going on at the same time. We were helped on where to started. Everyone was nice.
Driving Range Bandit
It was a perfect day on the course, even with the Fall leaves and the days humidity. The coursehas a driving range that comes into play on thee holes.
the course always allowed a free drop, the day it seem there was a range ball bandit picking up the white balls before the yellow range ball. Other than that it was a beautiful day.
Weird layout
Nice course weird layout , 4 par 5s And 3 par 3 s on the front nine only 2 par 4s , back nine1 par 5 and 3 par 3s , tiny greens was very wet after the heavy rains we just had , but price was right and would definitely go back
The course conditions were a ittle beaten up.
The course seemed like it had taken a little beating from the recent rains and heat that we have gotten.
It should improve.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
I’ll go back.
Great Sunday
Enjoyed myself at Lincoln Oaks today . Always feel at home when I am there !
Greens were not their usual best , which was surprising
Great Day on the course
Had not played Lincoln Oak for a Little while,
this time everything seem to fall in place perfectly.
The overcast was enough to keep the hot sun
from being an issue. The course was in a close to
perfect condition and the price was unbeatable.
Some improvement were made where rain water
used to be an issue.
It was a Great Day on the course!
Great course for the money
Smooth greens on the slow side. Great layout, plenty of birdie opportunities. Always a good price. Only down side is the bunkers. Low on sand and high on clay.
Great course
Course was in great condition and is very well kept. The staff is friendly. Not a super challenging course but it definitely keeps you honest. Would definitely recommend this course to other friends and golfers and will be coming back soon.
Lincoln Oaks - Good Course to play
The course always has its challenges, which make things interesting. I always seem to find some trees that impede my game as they are strategically placed. You can score well, if you play well, but you can suffer on some holes if you are not on your game. I enjoy this course and play it a number of times throughout the year. I think that you will like it too.
Thanks for positive review Andrew. We are family operated and take pride in our course. Thanks for positive comments and loyalty!
Good value course
For just over $20 for 18 w/ cart this is a very good deal. Course is in good shape. Greens are pretty small. Food and beverage is a very good deal. Very crowded course but pace of play was still pretty good on the day we played. Round was just over 4 hours for our foursome. Would recommend this course as a regular place to play for the value.
Thanks for your positive comments. We are family operated and take pride in our course. Love your comment about being crowded. We are a busy course and work hard to keep pace of play around four hours, which is usually achieved. I have players comment that they go elsewhere because we are crowded. I think to myself that a course that is not busy usually indicated issues. I would rather play a busy course with happy golfers than a empty course in inferior condition.
Awesome Value - Play this place!
3.75 stars....my first time at this 1927 Bendelow....really neat old school good bones routing through a pretty neighborhood with small greens. Prox them and you have a good birdie chance....miss them and you chip/one putt paying close attention to the slopes. Tees/Fairways/Greens are in really decent shape - sand traps are also okay but could be hit or miss....overall very well maintained.
Short but challenging enough from the tips at 6200 this track contains a really unusual front nine - 4 par 5's and 3 par 3's - 37 out (1st and 2nd are the only par 4's). All of the Par 5's play long - Bendelow knew what he was doing with the topography.
Functional old clubhouse with a cool bar area. No lockers/showers. Good beverage prices. Water jugs on course and pleasant nurse service. Grass range. $1 for a small bucket of about 20-25 balls to warm up with - that's absolutely perfect and wish more courses would do this.
We had a stellar weather day ruined by a 40 player shot gun scramble scheduled at 10am on Saturday. The outing took over 6 hours. One of the longest rounds I've ever experienced. Needless to say the course won't be allowing these idiots who work for a logistics company to return despite the ranger/starters/management extreme efforts to get them to play at even a remotely reasonable pace. Pretty incredible if you ask me - a scramble....and one of the groups I watched while I waited triple bogied a par 4 with no penalty stokes! Observed two carts with players actually tip over. They also had a couple of their own gals driving all over course feeding them beers which I don't think the course even knew about.
It was extremely thoughtful of management to invite us back to play the course again on their dime.....and we will very much look forward to doing so later this season. Lincoln Oaks really is an incredible old school value if you enjoy the history of the game....note my "free" return has absolutely no influence on my comments about the facilities and course. With proper pace of play a wonderful walk of hills and dales.
Highly recommend and worth a visit at least once or twice a season.
Nice Trac
I enjoy the layout of the course and the friendliness of the staff. I did play with two great gentleman and we enjoyed most of the round.
First time and ill be back
Nice course. Four par 5s on the front 9 really give you a good challenge. Not a lot of water and plenty of open fairways. Greens in decent shape for the beginning of the year but I can see how challenging they'll be when they are faster.
Thanks for positive review. We are family operated and take pride in our course.
