Nice course far away from Chicago
We had a nice time visiting this course. The Pros - it is a very well maintained, groomed course with some cool holes. It is pretty open and forgiving. The Cons is that it is very far from downtown Chicago and our Pace of Play was awful, absolutely awful. We played 5.5 hours for 3 people for a 8:50a Sunday tee time. We never saw a ranger. I wish the pace of play was better, but other than that I liked it.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Improvements
Every time I play this course it plays totally different. The course maintenance has greatly improved, it was in much better condition.

Slow Pace
It was a cart path only which added to the Pace. Some Golfer became edgy and voiced it to another four some. Other than watching a show the course fairways were wet and the crown greens were fast which added to the challenge, all in all, we enjoyed the beautiful day.

Not ready for season yet
Course is not ready for the season yet. Rough not mown, very long and scraggly. Fairways not mowed either. Greens in good conditions considering the time of year.

We know it's spring time but the greens need attention to much debris and ant hills.

Wet Conditions
Fine for March. Too many twosomes made fora somewhat slow round

Unnecessary cart path only. Some wet and soft areas, but most of the course was in very good shape. Price was a bit high for the experience.
