Another disappointing course that could be good
Carriage Greens is so convenient for many people. Right off I55 and Cass Avenue. Horrible conditions, pitch marks everywhere on the green, fairways suck, and tee boxes aren't up to par. Seems lik cae CG's wants to be better, well at least commenting on everybody's upsetting reviews. Well trying is nice but following through is better. Each year I give it a shot and smack myself knowing better because for the lack of a better term the place just sucks. No practice area except a basic putting green, pace of play is never great. Too bad
Good shape and fair prices for early in the season
The staff was super friendly. My new friend the starter was great to talk to. He smokes cigars as I do. Great guy. The pro was very accommodating as well. The course was in good shape for being early in the season. I'll be back this summer and look forward to what else they've done.
Thank you for the feedback! Here at Carriage Greens we are striving to improve the course and operations to enhance the experience of our guests. We really appreciate you sharing your positive experience and look forward to you returning to Carriage Greens soon.
Bad, Bad, Bad
Unfriendly staff. Course in very poor condition. Not worth playing. Bad management, poor ownership.
I am really sorry and surprised that you had such a bad experience here this spring. We are making strides to improve the course conditions and operations. I hope that you return to play and have a much better experience next time. Thank you for your feedback.
Midweek golf
Course was in ok shape for this time of year as expected.
Thank you for sharing your experience here at Carriage Greens. We will be striving to maintain a properly manicured course throughout the year. We are currently working on the course to assure that the course will be in great shape going forward. It should be a great year here at Carriage Greens. Hope to see you out here again soon.
Hanging out with the boys
This was the first outing of the year off for a minute made it there beat it off okay the ground was a little wet other than that we had a great time
Thank you so much for the positive feedback. We hope to see you out here again at Carriage Greens this season. We will work hard to give you the great experience that you are used to here.
I don't get the 129 slope -- not an "Oh, Boy!" course
Average is not a bad rating and I'm sure I'll be back. 18th hole would be absolutely spectacular if the landing area weren't so wet. 17th a tough hole with blind second, but the rest is pretty standard. Seriously. Wait for drought before going there. The best hole being so soggy really makes it a very average experience.
Ok
The course was heavily damaged and was not well maintain. I understand it was towards the end of the season, but can it could of been better conditions. Divots on the green and fairway made the ball bounce around more than it should of.
Overall, the course is fun has some challenging holes. I say it is fairly easy-to moderate. I will eventually play at this course again in the future. I hope it is in better condition besides the construction.
For about $300.00....
I can improve the course by putting disposable towels to clean golf balls at each tee box. Buy spray paint (Blue, White and Red) to marked the yardage on the cart path. Also, I would buy or make buy 54 - 3 foot doll rods and spray them with the above corresponding yardage colors; and put into the fairway to assist golfers and speed up play! This was told to management last year in the beginning of last season, and they did not do squat!
Bad stay away
This is the worst course I've ever played. The owners have no sense of pride of ownership. What a dump, clubhouse is a disaster, food is terrible, Sue and Nancy could be the worst waitress staff on the planet.
Brian and Keith, Golf Staff were friendly and helpful.
This course isn't worth the hotdeal rate
Perfect Monday afternoon
Great way to spend a Monday afternoon in mid October!
OMG
The golf course was in terrible condition. Tee to green was in fair shape, but the greens were unplayable. The best way to descibe them is shaggy. The holes were not cut cleanly. There was literally sanded over bare spots on 1/3 of the greens. Imagine that, putting thru a sand trap. We would not play this course again even if it was free...it was that bad.
NEVER Playing Here Again!
This was the worst golf experience of my entire life.
This course has absolutely zero drainage. We played about 2 days after a light rainfall and I could have sworn we were in Syria.
The greens? Looked like a landmine had went off, leaving a patch of green surrounded by dirt.
The fairways? I'd rather have hit my ball in the rough. They looked like a tank came through. The puddles were so deep I should have brought my fishing pole.
The rough? Looks like the backyard of your deadbeat neighbor who doesn't mow his lawn, complete with garbage on the grass.
Tee boxes? You're standing in about a hundred divots so it's a little hard to get solid footing.
They OVERBOOKED the heck out of this course. My friend and I waited for about 45 minutes before we even got out of our cart on the first tee. Followed by a 5 1/2 hr round. Staff is friendly but smiles only go so far on a course like this.
No wonder they're doing $20 hot deals like crazy, that's the only way they can get some sucker to this course.
It's a real shame because the layout is good but they just don't care about maintaining this course. I feel bad for the people living around the course to look out into their backyard and to see a battlefield of sorts with pools of standing water and bombed-out fairways.
I'll never be playing here again.
This whole comment made me laugh out loud, literally. I hate that the course looks like a dump. I play 3x's a week and would come out here each week since I live in Westmont. Too bad, not sure if they will ever do anything to improve this disaster.
Carriage Greens
This is the second time we've played at Carriage Greens. The pace was great, but it's a very narrow course. We were all pretty unsatisfied with the conditions of the greens. Had we not booked on Glofnow.com for $32/18 hole rate, I would expect a course that charges $50-$60 for 18 holes to be in much better condition.
guapolara,
Thank you for the great 4-Star review! We are glad you had a good pace of play, and we appreciate your feedback. We hope you come play again soon!

Carriage Greens
I'm sorry but can't recommend this course. Probably not all their fault due to heavy rains that hit a few weeks ago but course in very rough shape. Greens and fairways not good! Pace of play not good as not one but two groups played in front of us as we made the turn. I told the ranger, who looked like he was 18, and just shrugged and said what can I do?
billtheisen,
We are sorry to see this review come in. Please email us directly to carriagegreenscc@gmail.com regarding what exactly happened with the ranger. That is not the usual standard we hold at the course. We hope you give us another shot soon as the weather gets better, so that you can see all that the course has to offer.

Nice layout; course conditioning needs work
It was a gorgeous, cool day which was a relief after seemingly weeks of hot, humid, wet weather. And the weather has taken a toll on the course also. The starter warned us of the conditions up front and he was right. A number of fairways were very bad and still very wet - and entirely toped off. Although the course was officially 90-degree rule, at least 5 fairways were cart path only. Greens generally were OK, but quite a number had bare spots on them. Tee boxes were in fair shape. To their credit, it was apparent that the course is working to improve these condition and I hope they do. The track is a decent layout - not very tough but a few interesting doglegs and par 3s. The pace was excellent - finished in under 3.5 hours. The rate was decent at $20 for a HotDeal - that's about what it's worth right now. Hope things improve with better, cooler weather and continued attention. Would play again but will wait till next year. Recommended as to layout and staff friendliness, but expect some less-than-stellar conditions.
u000007133084,
We are glad you got to play on a beautiful day, and that you had an excellent pace of play! Yes, we are continuously working on improving the course, so please keep that in mind when writing out reviews.

Greens were in poor condition.
anthonyinendino,
We are sorry to see this two star review come in. We would be happy to discuss your experience more, if you could give us more details of what you exactly saw. Please understand we are always trying to improve the course despite weather conditions.

Nice place for the Golf Now price.
Used to play here often, greens were terrible then, the greens are still in terrible condition, they get the greens repaired, this would be a nice golf course.
rbuster120,
We are sorry to learn you did not have as great of an experience this time around. Feel free to be more specific with your concerns about the greens next time. We hope you give us another shot soon.
Best regards,
Carriage Greens Golf Management
This course has potential if they fix the greens
Fairways and greens in bad shape staff very friendly
warriors19,
We are happy to hear you praise the quality of our staff. Come play again soon on a day with better weather!

Spend your money elsewhere
There are several decent courses in the surrounding area that are more than worth your money (especially through GolfNow). As of now, this is not one of them. I remember playing this course a couple months ago and it was pretty decent. However, today.... completely the opposite. Big areas of standing water, greens with dirt approaching 25% of the entire green, weeds/crabgrass on the fringe, big overbooking of the course, no towels on the ball washers; the list goes on. Until I see some decent reviews going forward, I will not be returning to this course.
jssommer,
We are sorry to learn you did not enjoy the day this time around. We experienced over of 10 inches of rain at Carriage Greens since the last week of July along with extreme heat temps. Weather permitting, the course is guaranteed to look amazing! We hope you give us another shot soon!
Best regards,
Carriage Greens Golf Management
Thank you for the feedback. We are implementing new strategies this season within the operations and on the course to improve conditions and pace of play. I hope the next time you come out we chang your mind on us following through.
