Carriage Greens Country Club

The course conditions and create of play were the worst I've ever seen and played. The greens were covered with brown patches, and very often no grass at all, just flat areas of dirt. An absolute joke to play on. Not to mention nobody ever repairs their divots or ball marks.

The rate of play was horrid as well. A friend and I spent over three hours on the back nine due to the slow play and lack of rangers keeping the pace.

Do not play.

I've played this course for years. They talked about making a lot of improvements in 2015, so we overlooked the poor shape of the course last year. It has always been swampy after it rains and they said they were going to fix the drainage issues, but this year it has been exceptionally awful. #2 had so much standing water on the fairway, that they should have closed the hole. #13, #14, & #18 were also really wet. The greens are in terrible shape not from players, it looks like they were just cut so short that they were down to dirt. They haven't even bothered to put towels on the ball washers all year. We payed about $25 for the round with a cart and even that low price seemed high for the quality of the course.

Grew up playing this course 20 years ago. Couldn't believe how nice it has become. Greens were much improved/faster/ and in great condition. The trees that were taken out and new rough area look great and the traps were much improved. Staff was welcoming and our foursome had a great time. Can't beat the value. Will definitely be back.

Very slow play, I saw a 5-some with 2 kids under age 10. No ranger on this course during a Saturday. Greens were really beat up because people do not repair ball marks. It's a nice place for a banquet but you get what you pay for on the golf course.

This was the first time I played this course. The back nine is more difficult with some water and tight fairways that can block you in by trees if off right or left of fairway. The course was in good shape overall. The staff is very friendly. It was nice to golf with a family familiar with the course to help avoid some hidden hazards in the fairways. It was a very pleasant round. The course was very busy and it took about 4 1/2 hours on a Saturday, which is normal for a weekend. I recommend the course, but it can be hard to find if you don't enter from off of I-55.

We were told that the day we played was their busiest day of the season. I believe it and took it under consideration for my review. I liked the course. Some holes are very close to residential properties, which made tee offs tough. The grass was a bit high in some areas, which made it hard to find balls. Plenty of shade, no real water hazards and interesting design. I would recommend to others to give this course a try.

After heavy rains 2 days previous to play, bunkers were not playable.

The course was in good shape considering the rain we've had in the past few days. The pace of play was kind of slow but that's because that was cartpaths only. I would definately play here again. The food in the restaurant is also excellent.

Fairly priced at $21, greens were horrible. Cart path only for no reason. You get what you pay for. 5 hour round. It's what you get for $21. The refreshment cart did afford a chance to stay hydrated on a relatively hot day.

Took us 5.5 hours to finish 18 holes on a Sunday (We teed off around 11).While I fully expect a Sunday afternoon round to take a while. 5.5 hours is absurd. There were no rangers and too many groups on the course. At one point we pulled up to a par 5 on the front 9, and there were 5 groups on the hold (1 on the green, 2 on the fairway, and 2 on the tee).

The course is in alright shape. Just stay on the fairways. The greens and tee boxes are nice.

Can't beat the price and there are some challenging holes. Although many holes are right on top of one another.

Carriage Greens is always a Fun Course ! It has some predictable holes and some easy holes and some hard holes ! All you need is Ball Control ! The Course was in Great shape last weekend EXCEPT for the Ignorant Golfers allowed to play there ! I can't tell you how many Ball Marks I fixed on every hole and even scuffs and damage by Putter out of frustration ? I will say that hitting the Green on #11 can be a challenge. And watch out for the Giant Trap on #14 right in the middle of the fairway just short of the Green ! I also noticed a bunch of trees that were taken out ! Especially between #5 and #6 ! Wow ! That really opened up ! But ya still have a Big Tree guarding the #6 Green that can pull your ball right into it ! Pin placements can be a killer too ! But all in all, it is a Great Course ! Always Fun !

Course was a Great value... but the Greens had a Fertilizer or chemical on them all and effected the Ball Roll.

Played with a threesome finished in just over 3 hours. Course in good shape, bunkers were holding water from previous night's rain. Greens were very true and fair.

Played 18 in less than 3 hours at 5:30pm on a Saturday. Pro shop was very courteous, overall very good

Course was in good condition other than the bunkers, which were in rough shape, with some having lots of fluffy sand and others having little sand.

We were Happy and would play again

the course was in great shape the staff was very courteous the only problem I have is the only marking on the course is the 150-yard marker outside of that you are on your own.

Beware of collateral golf ball damage. Lots of "fore" heard around course. Pace of play was fine.

Course is in great shape, and is a good play for all levels. Play was slow due to poor play ahead of our group. However, it is not always slow.

Enjoyed a great round at a nicely run, well kept course in perfect weather with 2 of my 3 kids on my birthday.

Course is relatively short and little water hazards introduce less danger than typically seen.

Huge advantages in tee setup for women/kids.

Only negative would be the tee boxes on most holes for ladies were so hard it was almost impossible for my daughter to stick her tee in ground. I tried and had to agree.

For the right price, I would definitely return.

Carriage Greens staff was very friendly. The course is an interesting layout with a lot of doglegs. The Greens were exceptional. Beautiful. However, there wasn't a Beverage cart on the course. Just a shack at the turn. There was only one Water cooler on the course on Tee box of Hole #7 which was nearly empty at 4:00pm on a hot 90 degree Sunday. We started on Hole#10. Hole#7 was our 16th hole. Over all it was a good round. Look forward to my next round @ Carriage Greens.
