Believe it or not I was only player on course. 37 degrees and I loved it having course to myself no foursomes ahead of me putting for dough.played course in 2 hours 20 minutes. birdied 15th and 16th hole. beats ice fishing.

Too many leaves all over. Many lost balls. Quit Addr 11 holes. Bartlett Hills played at 4 days ago had no leaves well groomed. This is a good course just don't go during fall time.
Also super slow on Sunday's. Everyone complaining driving around looking for ther golf all.

If you are in the Chicago area and looking to play a round of golf.....look no further! From the moment I walked into the pro shop I felt like a regular. The other golfers were all friendly (locals and regulars) and quick to offer information. The course was in outstanding condition and the greens were immaculate! The best part of the day besides playing 36 at this gem was meeting the GM/Director of golf, Vince Juarez. This course was smart to employ this gentleman as it's GM. This man was extremely friendly and full of advice about golf in the area. We had a lengthy conversation about golf at his course as well as golf at other vacation locations. If you want to play golf and feel like your at a country club with friends; than look no further than

Way to many blind shots on the course. Very difficult to see group ahead of you to ensure you were not hitting into them. Thankfully the wasn't a group behind us so we could take an extra couple of minutes to ensure group ahead was not in range.

Outing held up the course. We quit after 12 holes as holes 6-12 took 3 hours.

What a great way to spend a day - golfing! This course is worth the play. Loved the challenge of the hilly fairways! The course was busy but never had to wait on anyone.

Great local course that is challenging and fun. The holes offer a variety of styles and elevations and every hole has many many many trees. Will definitely play there again.

The course is well kept, pace of play was very nice and greens were perfect.

Took over 5 hours to play on a Saturday at 11 am, waited on every hole, and we are not super fast players. Would not come back.

Lots of blind shots on this course. Will score much better the second time you play. Course in decent shape but rough is long which caused a few lost ball that shouldn't have been. Plays quickly especially for a Saturday. A few long part 4 but also par 5s reachable in 2 if you are fairly long.

Too many blind shots! Course was in avg shape. Greens were a little furry and spongy. Tee boxed were rough.

Course is worth playing, interesting lay-out and good greens. Understand what you are going to experience.
Slow play, as in following a 6-some on a Sunday in the early afternoon. This was approved by the starter.
Tee boxes were a mess, a weeks worth of broken tees on more than half. No rakes in most bunkers.
Carts are worn out and do not have windshields. Food/beverages prices are high which is way everyone brings their own.

This course is worth the trip. Scenic, great shape, lots of elevation changes.

Awesome course. Long course and will challenge you with some tight fairways on a few. The greens kicked my butt. $3.72 for a microwaved hotdog is my only complaint. $3 beers were average. Course overall great. I had a fun time.

This is a very nice older style mature course. The greens were in excellent condition. I had a couple issues with the course.

First, just off the fairways, the grass was so long you could not find your ball. We spent time looking for balls over and over. We were not the only ones having that issue. In fact, one time my ball was in front of the green about 2 feet off the fringe, but we spent 5 minutes looking for my ball. There was no excuse for not mowing, because the weather had been good for several days prior.

Second, I was playing with my 2 sons. So, there were 3 of us. Last minute I was paired up with a single. I understand the course adding a single to our threesome, but I should not have to share a cart with a total stranger. I have been paired up with strangers in the past, but never had to share a cart. That was unacceptable to me.

Very interesting course in excellent condition. Unusual holes that you would benefit from playing the next time. Tough rolling greens need getting used to. Beautiful layout with good sight lines.

Fox Lake is a nice course to play with good changes of scenery and and usually very well maintained. I like the elevation changes, and the greens, the old blind shots have been reduced (since the older days) and some of the tricky trees have been removed. Plays fair for both right to left & left to right req'd shot making. Overall its a fun layout to come back to. Good time and very resonable.

Greens in great condition, except for a patchy number 1.

They put us behind an outing and it took us 5 1/2 hours to play. We were finally able to jump ahead from the 7th hole to the 10th and then everything when fine.
