nice public course
I played Glenview for the first time in June 2020. It is a par 70. I am not a long hitter, so the par 4's started to catch up to me. I did not see a "seniors" tee box. There was a back tee, a medium tee, then a front. It would have been nice to play a seniors tee box since I was hitting driver, 3 wood on most par 4's. The course was in GREAT shape! Greens ran true. They took all pre cautions for the pandemic. I would play here again.
Hidden gem
This is a great golf course. It’s short but fun to play. Would not be a regular course I would play because there is no range but I will definitely be back.
Solid course
First time playing and was pleasantly surprised! Greens and fairways in great shape. Awesome staff, overall solid layout as well. Fun holes, fairly easy greens. Can be made tough with placement. Not a ton of gradient. All in all solid course! If you are a resident, it is a must play!
Fantastic course, best shape I’ve seen in 2020 so far
I’ve played five courses the last five weeks, this place is in the best shape of all. Even with a morning rain, limited ability to mow and fix divots, the course played great. Tough bunker set up and lots of par 4’s, but it’s easy to stay in play even for a high handicapper. Friendly staff that we’ll be back to see again!
They need to advertise that they close at 7pm
Paid for 2 golfers to tee off at 5pm. GolfNow said we were paying for 18 holes. I figured we could get 14 or 15 in before it was dark. Dusk is about 8:10pm right now, instead we were kicked off at hole 9, no warning prior to the round. That’s bs
Great course
Played at Glenview Park course. Had a wonderful time. Its a great course. The weather turned out to be beautiful (after 1 hr frost delay).
My only criticism is the price. In my opinion, $63 walking is too much.
Glenview Park - Solid Muni Re-Design Overcomes Odd Routing
The Good: Rick Jacobson's 2014 revamp of this 1924 Joseph Roseman design is a nice park district course with a new, beautiful bunkering homage to Cog Hill “Dubsdread”. A unique routing that includes back-to-back Par-3's (the 9th & 10th holes) and a great, short finishing Par-4. In excellent shape for Thanksgiving week, the fairways were as smooth as butter and the smallish greens putt fairly true despite being a little slow. Clubhouse area is very nice with modest pro shop and quaint cafe and bar. Also includes some very nice outdoor patio seating to watch the local hackers complete their nines. Staff is friendly and do their best to keep the pace moving along.
The Bad: There is no driving range or short game practice area, just a small putting green. The routing of the course is very odd with several confusing walks from green to tee (granted, this was exacerbated by no signage). Several consecutive Par 4's on both the front (2-5) and back (12-15) are of similar yardage. Limited variation in the Par-3 distances. $46 walking seemed a little steep for late November.
The Verdict: Glenview Park is another solid municipal option in the Chicago North Shore suburbs, however Sunset Valley, the other recently Jacobson design renovated suburban course, is a much more interesting course and better value for the experience.
Best Hole: The long Par-5 7th is a beautiful and demanding hole. The drive must avoid sand left and water right, while a pond left awaits poor approach shots.

Everything else was flooded
I got a deal on Golf Now walking this course for almost $40. I took it because all my usual courses were flooded. Nice course, challenging, friendly staff but at their regular pricing I'm not coming back here. My opinion, YMMV. But yeah, for the price I'm playing someplace else all things considered.
Great course
One of the best golf course in Illinois. Condition was pristine and the staff was friendly
Must play if you’re interested
Booked 18 to only play 8..
Booked 18 holes off app for time at 5:48 to be told that we had to have our carts in by 7:00 and that there was a high school match going on.. needed up getting charged for 9 holes to only “play 8”. Don’t advertise something to not be able to follow through.. greens were beat up from the high school kids playing on
Course is in great shape
The course is in great shape and finally drying out.
Greens are excellent. Pace of play was great.
It’s still a little pricey compared to a few other options locally.:
Great course, friendly staff
The course was in great shape-good to have nice weather after all the recent rain. The staff was friendly and helpful, the greens fairly fast but not unreasonable. We did wait a bit for the foursome in front of us. Everyone in our group enjoyed the course and would definitely recommend it.
CART PATHS ONLY..5 HOUR ROUND!
The slow play didn't help...but due to recent weather, there were a lot of walkers even though you were allowed to take a cart on paths only. Thought the fees were pricey at $63, but found a deal on GN for lower...but still pricey for a Park District course. Of course, you are in Glenview where the big bucks are anyway!!..Nice course...still wet in spots...greens were not too bad considering. Probably not returning since I'm an hour drive away.
A well maintained golf course, nice deep sand traps , with some nice green bunkers , deep heavy grass off of the fairways .
