In process of improving
Welcome to the US Open. The guy in the pro shop gave us a heads up that the course had only been open for 1-2 weeks and is playing very hard. If you don’t hit it in the fairway, the rough is very long and it takes time to find your ball. If you want to learn how to punch out to the fairway when your ball is 2 inches below the grass, this is your course. The greens are spotty, some are good, some are absolute trash and they know that and are trying to improve. Moderate your expectations here because it will be a long round if you don’t. The track is awesome and some sweet par 3s. I hope to play this course again later this year to see some improvements. Staff here is great and prices for food and drinks are affordable.
Saturday ruined
Well, it started when I was checking in to play, when the person checking me in told me that GolfNow was charging me $60, and that the course rate for that day was only $30... I tried to call Golf Now's "Customer Service".... but they didn't allow me the chance to speak to a live person, or to even leave a message for call back.
So... my tee time was for 11:37, and when I arrived I was told that it would be at least 20 minutes until I could get a cart. Oh yeah... and they had sent out the people I was to play with early... So I grabbed my putter and headed to the practice green, which was aerated, and returned to the clubhouse after twenty minutes to hear that carts wouldn't be available until 1 or 1:30.
Not a good way to waste people's time on one of the last weekends to play golf in the Chicago area. I've been a member of this site for almost twenty years, and maybe it's time to see what else is out there.
Course hasn’t recovered
We played this course earlier in the season, during the drought. It was really burnt out. I was hoping that it had recovered, but no such luck. I have never played a course in worse condition. The entire course has been neglected. They’re closing for the season on 10/1 so maybe that’s a sign that they’re gonna do some major rehab work. Let’s hope so.
Course condition does not memorialize Veterans
Tee boxes aren’t mowed, like teeing off in the rough. All the greens were covered in turf grass disease, like putting in the Grand Canyon. No first cut, grass so high the rough swallowed your ball. The only plus is that the course was empty, now we know why. Shame because the course layout was great with fantastic holes. $51 they charge left a bad taste in our mouths. Disappointing and would never recommend.
Bad tee boxes and Worse green
Very poor tee boxes and even worse greens -
Very lil staff
With maintenance would be great
nice layouts.
60Bucks for worse the hacker course is bad value....
Terrible conditions
The overall course layout was decent. The greens however on most of the holes were un puttable. Horrible condition. Not worth $60. Not even $30.
Not worth the money
Not every exaggerating, worst kept course around the area. Greens are like pudding on the moon and the tee box looks like my dad’s backyard. For the price you can go almost anywhere in the area any get triple your value.
Don't play until they do needed maintenance
Not a good value course in poor condition; tee boxed spotty with crab grass and weeds, fairways grass to high and spotted finally forget about the greens. I don't know why they let it fall into such disrepair. As my friends said good layout but won't play it again until fully repaired. I agree.
Down hill
Use to be very well maintained.
Poor greens.
Poor tee boxes weeds.
Won’t return.
Terrible greens but everything else was 12 out of 10
The greens have massive divots, basically makes it impossible to putt accurately…BUT this is a fun, solid course otherwise.
the staff are A++ and the clubhouse and pro shop are nice. Great beer cart selections too. It’s just crazy that they don’t fix their greens because it really is a diamond in the rough.
If you pay less
The guy in the club house always looks angry. Tee box and green are horrible that need major renovation. nobody fixes ballmarks. I won’t pay more than $25.
Condition
Very disappointed with the upkeep of this course. Great layout and good pace but the price for the condition is not adequate. I will not be back.
Bumpy greens
Title almost says it all. Along with that fairways were pretty beat up. There was tons of clover if you weren't in the fairway as well. On the good side the staff was good and not very busy.

Game canceled
My game was canceled because of adverse weather.
Unfortunately I lost my money
