Golfer Reviews
Horrible Maintance
The greens were awful. Most of them were half brown and didn’t even have grass. The fairways were practically as trimmed as the rough. If the course was better maintained it would be a much better course but I’be never seen greens that bad
Good deal...
Greens were a little rough on 5 or so holes and tee boxes were long I think due to the heat we have had lately. Would come back overall at same rate, get what you pay for.
Return to Vet Memorial
It was an enjoyable golf day but there were some ares needing improvement Not all but some tee boxes and greens were in bad shape. Cart paths were minimal resulting driving primarily on bumpy fairways. Club house was under staffed resulting in us walking out of the bar/grill after waiting 15 minutes for any service
Needs to be re-grassed.
Most greens have severe damage.
Front 9 fairways grass is thin with lots of bare spots. Mixed grasses and weeds predominate.
Back nine is in better shape but greens show severe damage.
price reflects condition unfortunately.
Didn't play here last year but I've been playing here over 10 yrs. Conditions are worth the 45 bucks to ride. It's really unfortunate to see what used to be a nice course go down hill.
I wanted to love it
As the title says, I really wanted to love this course as my father is former Navy. The course overall is really in tough shape. The greens have a lot of weeds and bare spots with some holes as well. The fairways and tee boxes are ridden with weeds and bare spots. Although the groundskeepers are out there keeping it cut, it is just really in rough shape. In contrast to other public course and their pricing in the vicinity, they should be charging no more than $30 for 18 holes, That said, it becomes a catch 22 in that, if they don't charge more, they'll never have enough revenue to make it better. At the end of the day, in comparison to other public courses in the area, it's 18 hole value is about $30/round.
